I was wondering if anyone had a copy of Senkotwiik's Sim, Aubrey from the story here called "Confessions of Ashley" and "Confessions of Aubrey". Their site's been down for awhile and I'm not sure they still play the Sims 2.

Turns out I had a duplicate mod file in the folder I moved over from an old computer. Just getting back into using CC again after about 5 years and to say I'm rusty would be an understatement. 

After my Sims go on maternity leave, their job instantly goes to career level 10. I'm not sure but was there a mod to fix this?

I'm playing Meetmetotheriver's cleaned Pleasantview and I can't find Skip's gravestone. Is there some way I could get it back?

The Grim Reaper is his biological dad. Since Grim doesn't actually have a face, I think it's a clone of Nervous' because when I use the "Grimpregnation" option on Insimenator all of the babies that are born look exactly like Nervous (light skin, brown eyes, black hair) regardless of who mothered them.

Thanks! I opened their relationship pannels in Sim PE and the "family" boxes were still ticked. I fixed it so hopefully once I go in and reset her it'll be gone. I appreciate the help! 

I have a sim and they're no longer married but their wedding band is still on their finger. I've tried boolpropping and resetting them but it's still there. Does anyone know how I can get it off please?

I was wondering if there was such a mod that would allow Sims to put unplanned children up for adoption and give them a memory of doing so? I think there was a memory replacement at one point.

I'm pretty sure it's this one. I've also tried downloading the Microsoft Direct X tool and the June 2010 Microsoft files with the Direct X set up and it didn't fix the problem.

My SO wants Sims 2 on their laptop (which I have done before, they had to get a new hard drive recently) so I downloaded the Ultimate Collection from my Origin account. I get a "No directx 9.0 compatible drivers found" error. They have Directx 12 on an Intel e5800 graphics card. I have tried:

- Downloading and running the dxwebsetup from Microsoft and letting it install and then restarting.

- Using the Graphics rules maker which literally did absolutely nothing

- Starting the game from the most recent game .exe in Windows XP service pack 3 compatibility mode and then service pack 2 compatibility mode

- Following the leefish guide to replace graphics rules with hers in Config and CSConfig in my most recent game's TSdata folder

The only way to get it to start is to put -w at the end.  They're on the cusp of being legally blind and I am legally blind so it's very hard to play this way.



Please help me out!

My game is entirely vanilla, not even bodyshop CC and this still happens. I think you may be right. I'll try patching when I get off work and see if that fixes things. If not then c'est la vie haha.

Really? I was worried maybe it was a sign the game didn't install right. That being said there is a fairly good chance it's been there for the past nearly a decade and I never noticed until now.  I have up to Bon Voyage installed and the tickle interaction still won't work for children that aren't part of the household despite sharing a mutual 100/100 relationship and best friend flags. It just drops from the tickler's queue. I selected the townie child and the interaction to be tickled never even was added to his. I went to Mod The Sims and downloaded all the patches so once I finish installing my last three games I'll see if that does the trick and I'll update here after patching.


Me too until now. I'm just hoping I was terribly unobservant as a teenager lol.

Amin is a random toddler I put into the household. This pie menu happens in all households. I have a few more expansions to install and then I'll check if the tickle bug is still there. The installations weren't ever interrupted and the path goes to the right place.

This has been happening for a couple years. At first I thought it was because I had the European version of Open for Business, so I bought the US copy since all of my other games were US copies. I'm also having the issue where children can't use the tickle interaction unless they both share the same household even with a mutual 100/100 relationship. I just installed all of my games again and I have all game and expansion packs including Double Deluxe so the game is totally download and mod free. I'm also running on Windows 10 with no other problems.
