Disclaimer for the later pages, since I've gotten a lot of questions: This is a PICTURE topic. It will NOT contain any downloads. Yes, you will probably see some stuff I haven't uploaded yet, stuff I have uploaded, maybe stuff I won't upload. If it has been uploaded, you'll probably find it in the download section on my site. If not, it probably hasn't been uploaded yet. If I haven't written anything, it could be a work in progress, possibly even an abandoned one (my project folders are a great big mess). I can't promise anything in regards to what will be uploaded and what won't. Also, I think some of the pictures may be broken (Tinypic and Photobucket broke down, so there are probably a lot of broken pictures...). I fixed some, but have no clue how far I went when fixing it, so there could still be some broken pics here and there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today, while I was cleaning up my computer (had only 4 gb left - not good...), I found a lot of pics I'd almost forgot I had. so... here they are! (Ok, I'll post them, and a few others, little by little... and feel free to comment them!). first the weirdoes'll come, then the beauties... first we have strangetown's own... vidkund? (I don't remember his english name since I'm not playing the english version, he's got a different name in my game - that I actually think fits him better; and so does his brothers) then we have his brother's alien babies (one of his brothers at least - him with the shortest hair, I think). they're really cute as infants, but... well, lets say they'll never win a beauty contest... but they do look better than many other alien babies in my game... they did not get much better growing up you'd never think they were twins unless I said so... moving over to another place - these two were having fun - dancing the bird dance! one flying, and the other pretending he's a chicken...:happy8: gotta love that look in his face... actually, the picture says it all. they were going for a vacation - and had to let their daughter stay at home with the nanny... apparently they'd heard the stories... :chainsaw: and why is this picture really scaring me? *shudders* these were the weird ones. some of the next posts will be of two families I've used for a bit of posing tryouts.

i've got a hack from monique (i think) that makes them do their homework at 7 pm. solves the problem of having to find it. I tried that. but can't remember if it worked... do you know where to find it? and I always teach them to study the first time they get home from school. (I've even tried to do it simultaneously with quads, making them finish together... that's not easy!)

why are everyone squealing about Sqinge's hack when we have the perfect "pregnant wear all" thingy here on insim? actually, the "wardrobe"-object is much better than the squinge hack - you can even put the menu in the simmies personal menu (using the chair on the insim-machine, and choose active sim/wardrobe/add menu (I think...)
then you'll have all of the clothing options available - gym, pregnant wear (even if the sim isn't pregnant!) and all.
and besides - a lot of custom clothing meshes comes with a pregnant morph, and you can even download changed default meshes for all maxis clothing that gives them a pregnant morph (modthesims, I think)
the only thing about it, is that when the simmies "pop", they change automatically to pregnant wear - but then you can pause, and select wardrobe/everyday (or whatever you want them to wear),

I had it like this once with the pay mesh on eclecticsims. whatever I tried, the mesh didn't show up - only the outfit - even though both f them werein the dl folder. now, It works completely fine having it in the dl folder. at the same time, I also had some minor trouble with downloaded things not showing recolors, only "default" color - they showed, but when I tried changing color, it didn't work. (maybe it was beecause my dl folder was a bit too heavy with downloads or something...) it corrected the next time I started the game, though.
it might be your graphics in the computer (and not ingame)...
oh, and having default replacements in subfoldes have always worked for me (exept that time)

you can use the "summoner" that comes with insim, too. and with insim, you can also teleport (although without that funny animation). i usually never let my sims walk when they're going somewhere, especially on a big lot or in a big house. teleporting really speed up the game!

I uually look at the packages in a whole - not one by one. there's things about each one I like (and yes, I have them all, except 2006 holiday - have 2005, and regret not waiting...wish they could make one this year, too - and I haven't installed teen stuff yet.)
as an example, I really like cars with nightlife, having pets ingame at all, the new toys with OFB, growing things/having snow from seasons, and many of the funny stuff from bon voyage (especially bigfoot, because it gave me a good idea for a story, and the ninjas - finally a use for those stupid costumes i never use from OFB, and makes me wonder if we'll see a purple gorilla in the next game).
I was also thinking "is this all?" after the first time I tried each game(mostly because I tried all the new stuff at once) , but because of the possibility to download custom content that often tend to use a little of each game, I'm happy to have all the games (and jumping on my chair for the new that comes in february).

forgot that walking thing... and to be honest, I like that better than taxi. there's the old man in that tai-chi village (me and names doesn't go well together), the witch doctor in the hula village ( ) and bigfoot in the mountain oh, and you might get other funny surprises when you're on vacation. a ninja turned up right in front of my simmies once and the fire dancers are quite cool, and I have a feeling there were something special for the mountain too, but can't remember... I haven't played much because of schoolwork lately(which I should probably be doing now in stead of writing this... )

I had some trouble with sims birthing once. the woman was having triplets (the hack), and first/second baby went as normal - until the third baby. after birthing him, she started all over again, babies disappearing one by one, while she birthed them over again. and again. and again. and again. I didn't count how many times she did it, but it was a lot of times... when I got bored of waiting (so bored I wanted to smash my computer) I had to do that force error-thing. I can't really remember what happened, but the problem dissappeared (luckily). what the other simmies were doing? either watching (no one picked up the babies) or pretending not to care. I felt sorry for that woman. bad enough having three babies at once, if not twenty... and simmies are SO impatient! they can't wait a freakin ten seconds for someone to move so they can walk past. putting food inside the fridge? takes forever, because they keep putting it on the ground again. giving twins or triplets bottles? takes forever to get that perfect shot of all of them drinking because their parents are so annoyingly stupid. and when you ask them to do something - why do they have to go the LONGEST POSSIBLE WAY to get there?:eh: I once had a housekeeper who refused to do other things than wash the aquarium. she stood there for ages, washing it. even though there was dirt upstairs! she didn't even want to go home. washing. washing. washing... that aquarium got really clean, and to get her out of there, I had to delete the aquarium. :smt120 and to find the simmies homework, I always have to watch the clock for when they get home, and cancel the "getting home from school", because otherwise I never find their homework without going into build mode. and besides, they always want to put it on the same spot. even if it's plenty of room around them. : : but in spite of them being so stupid, it's actually fun to play them. at least since teleporting came with insim. now, i usually never let them walk wherever they're heading oK, I have said enough, I think. *release of frustration*

just have to say it: I'm in the middle of making a white christening dress (both pink/blue bows and unisex - white bow) using Bloom's mesh. and I was wondering... any wishes? pictures... here's "first edition" (I've made a lot of different ones - bows, socs, blondes, even shoes - but this is the only one without any mess on it... and even though it looks a bit blue, it will end up looking white ingame):

you have to travel to a vacation lot first (the three maxis ones). there's ONE secret lot on EACH place, and when your sims've got a hotel room, they can travel on to different places - they have to order a taxi, and when it comes, you can choose place. I think the sim with the map have to choose the place, and you'll see a different sign on the secret lot (It's been some time since I last sent my sims to a vacation, so I can't remember, but might've been a question mark.)
when you're finally there, you have to solve a task, and you'll get a reward.
