76  Retired Creators / Guest Recolors / 14 new Infant dresses with/without pacifier on: April 12, 2008, 09:15:55 pm
Thanks again, Bloom, for your wonderful new infant mesh!

The pictures are named after the files. All colors are the same, but in one zip-file you'll find dresses with a pacifier, and in the other dresses without the pacifier.

Read this before downloading:
1. NO additional meshes needed, since the mesh is "built in"
2. REMOVE all other infant outfits - both recolors and meshes - or they will conflict with these ones. Put only ONE of the outfits in your downloads folder
3. The graphic setting SIM/DETAIL must be on high for the outfits to work correctly. dresses won't work correctly otherwise.
4. Put this in you Downloads folder (or defaults folder if that's what you use)
5. The clothes override the diaper and works just like the maxis diaper. They go off when you ask a sim to bathe the baby or change its diaper.
6. ALL infants will wear the outfit you choose - both girls and boys
7. Thanks Bloom Cheesy

There will be more outfits soon, and I'm also doing a few whole outfits this time (sweater and pants in various styles).

(and now I just feel a bit sorry for the boy infant I used as a model.....)
77  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / deleting thumbnail files? on: April 10, 2008, 07:17:39 am
I was just wondering which thumbnail files that are safe to delete. (since I just realized that the file named CASThumbnails.package in the thumbnails folder is over 200 mb...)

I know I can delete groups/cache/accessory files, and also the files in the project folder when I'm finished with them, but are there other "unneccessary" files that I also need to know about, and can safely delete?

thanks for any help.
78  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Freetime picture problem on: April 01, 2008, 06:43:32 pm
hey.

i have a major problem with C-button picture taking (and since it's my only problem with FT, it's also bugging me a lot).
every time I make the simmies paint pictures or use the new drawing table, the c-button pictures I take after that are corrupted. they turn grey, and looks like they've been tweeked with photoshop (only the pictures from then on, not the ones I took before making them paint). today I noticed that this also happened to the pictures they drew. all custom paintings (including the ones that followed pets and FT) turned grey ingame, even though most of then showed up normal.

this started happening already when I started a fresh game (installed FT over a new BV/earlier games backup), and as far as I can remember - without any hacks at all in the DL folder.

it usually corrects itself the next time I play, though - but starts over again as soon as the simmies paint or draw. the pictures they draw also gets corrupted.
(as far as I know, it doesn't happen with the maxis default drawings, only the custom ones)

does anyone know why this happens?

(I've started using printscreen, but I can't completely trust that the pictures turn out good, since I can't be sure that the pictures saves correctly, or that they saves fast enough. I've had several pictures that were saved too late, so I use the C-button as a back-up.)

thanks for any help! :happy8:

(1) - how the c-button screenshots looks like
(2) - before/after drawing table
(3) - custom painting turned grey (ALL turned grey, but some still showed the correct thumbnail)
(4) - maxis bella picture turned grey, but has the correct color in the thumbnail picture (this hapened to all the animal pictures, too)
(5) - picture explains

79  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Mixed Clothing / lots and lots of toddler clothing! on: March 29, 2008, 04:59:50 am
hey!

this is my first try at toddler clothing, some after a request by Pierreandreply4 here.

meshes needed:
you'll need this mesh to make the tees (in the zip file toddler_tees-and-shorts) work (thanks, Flyingpidgeon!)
and this mesh to make the onesies (in the zip file toddler_onesies) work (thanks Migamoo!)
(because of some downtime at MTS2, the links may not work all the time...)

the ones in the zip-file named tod-outfits_maxis-meshes don't need meshes.

(all pajama and onesie outfits shows up in pajama and underwear, but some also in everyday. everyday clothing and the bear pajama shows up in everyday)

important note: the bear hats is designed to be used with the bear outfit. I don't know how to bin hairs, so the hats ONLY shows up in the custom bin, and ONLY in blonde color (unfortunately, they don't show up in pajama - but the bear outfit does show up in everyday). If you want the hats for both girls and boys you have to download both of them. if you want to make the other colors, or bin them - feel free, but please give credits if you upload them)

all files are clearly labeled after their pictures, so it's easier to pick and choose.

I really hope you'll like them.

(by the way - this is my 1500 post!!! yay!)
80  Retired Creators / Guest Recolors / TWINS funny onesies for infants (part 5 of 5) on: March 27, 2008, 05:09:27 pm
hello!

I've had some fun making funny onesies for infants this time. This is part 5 of 5, and contains 6 onesies for twins (most of them also comes without a hat, but not all - they have the ending _nohat.package).

They're not tested ingame (I made them an hour or so ago while I was waiting for round 1 in a competition...)  but I've added a picture of how the outfits will look. The outfits are simple and most share colors with other outfits I've made, so they don't really need testing, because I'm quite sure they will work fine ingame. (however, if there is a problem, just tell me, and I'll fix it).

you'll find pacifier versions here

Happy simming! (and thanks again, Bloom, for your wonderful meshes!)

I've had some fun making funny onesies for infants this time. This is part 2 of 5, and contains 13 onesies (most of them also comes without a hat, but not all - they have the ending _nohat in the package file).

85  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Veronaville Hospital on: March 10, 2008, 09:09:02 am
This is sort of a request from kustirider2, even though I made it before it was requested.

Veronaville Hospital

It's a furnished hospital containing only maxis stuff (checked with Clean Installer), so if you want to get creative with CC, feel free Cheesy. Me myself went completely crazy with it... (see the zip file called "pictures with CC") but I decided to upload it without anything so I don't have to go looking around for meshes and premission to post everything. It's play tested, so things should work.

I'm not completely sure of the cost, but I think it was something around 150.000. the lot is 5x4 I think. (it's been a while since I made it, so I'm not completely sure). There's also a little room for additional building on the side if you want a cafe or something.

It was made with all EP's and SP's installed up to BV, but I don't think I put in anything from teen stuff/family fun/party pack/holiday, so they're probably not required (but check with Clean installer before installing)

I put more pictures in the zip folder named "pictures (no CC)"

(This is my first lot that I upload, so if something's wrong with it, just tell me...)

AND DON'T CLAIM THIS AS YOUR OWN WORK, because it was made from scratch by me. and I really appreciate to get credit if you use it for movies/stories Cheesy
86  Retired Creators / Guest Recolors / 4 animal infant overrides (update 3/10: added pacifier-nohat version) on: March 09, 2008, 06:17:03 pm
I saw some pics Pierre posted in the picture thread and fell in love with the infant clothing at once - and I couldn't resist making them (as usual Cheesy)

UPDATE 3/10: added outfits without hat, but with pacifier

UPDATE 28/9: added outfits without hat or pacifier

(pacifier versions are here)

IMPORTANT: the version without the hat and pacifier NEEDS one of the three meshes showed here, since this is NOT one of Bloom's outfit meshes.

Read this before downloading:
1. NO additional meshes needed, since the mesh is "built in"
2. REMOVE all other infant outfits - both recolors and meshes - or they will conflict with these ones. Put only ONE of the outfits in your downloads folder
3. The graphic setting SIM/DETAIL must be on high for the outfits to work.

so here they are:
87  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / problems with ruined pictures (FT) on: March 04, 2008, 12:18:34 pm
I installed FT yesterday, and tok some pictures. but now when I looked at them, all (exept CAS bluescreen-picture and the pictures that were already there) looked like the one I posted. why does this happen? I've got no other problems exept this (as far as I know)

-and one more thing: what is the code that makes the fishes in the tanks/ponds come back? I've not had fishes for a long time...

88  Retired Creators / Guest Recolors / 7 unisex elmo infant-onesies on: February 24, 2008, 11:34:33 am
here's more recolors of Bloom's fantastic baby meshes. this time in unisex colors, with Elmo from Sesame street (after an idea by Pierreandreply)

there are two versions - one with hat and one without hat. they're in different zip-files. they look exactly the same exept for the hat.

I've not gotten the time to test them yet, but if you look here or here, you'll see one of them in use (and they're not that blurry in use). but they should work fine. just tell me if there's a problem, and I'll fix it Cheesy

hope you like them, and feel free to post your own pics of infants using them Cheesy

pictures are also in the zip-files, named the same as the file they belong to.

Read this before downloading:
1. NO additional meshes needed, since the mesh is "built in"
2. REMOVE all other infant outfits - both recolors and meshes - or they will conflict with these ones. Put only ONE of the outfits in your downloads folder

89  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Memories are forever... (sequel to Anna's Diary) - *THE END! (9.april)* on: February 11, 2008, 07:51:40 pm

I'm back, carrying a brand new story - a sequel to my story Anna's Diary Cheesy

You should probably read the first story if you want to read this, but it's not completely neccessary, as I explain a bit in this, too.

It's about Angela, Anna's oldest daughter, and the story continues about a year after the last one.

I hope you like it, and I love getting comments Cheesy

I'm not finished with all the pics, and there's still a few things to do with the rest of the text - and I've got some major schoolwork for friday - but Winter holiday starts on Saturday, so then, I'll hopefully finish it Cheesy

But here you go -->
