Chapter 1, Part 2

I felt a tingling sensation and when I opened my eyes, I was a few feet taller and I had long locks of black hair dangling in front of my face. I looked down to find a gothic black dress, torn near the bottom along with a toteing pair of striped tights to match. I hurridly put on my stylish new clothing and tied my hair back into pigtails while carefully applying black eyeliner underneath my peircing blue eyes.

I ran into my room to show my mother, but she scowled and recoiled in disgust.


I ran into the hall crying while my fresh eyeliner now poured down my cheeks. I dove into the leather chair in the lounge and curled up trying to hide my dispair. My mother was so cruel to me. I was young and tried to look beautiful but she just proved how I wasen't.

I heard my father step into the lounge and I practically flew into his arms.

Cal took my hand and started to lead me towards my room where my mother so casually was redecorating my room to suit my age transition. But, before we even arrived there my eyes started welling up and my eyes looked black from the puddle of eyeliner left under my lids. I couldn't bear facing my mother again, her words hurt so much. Yes, it was a stupid fight, but I was only 6 years old, you couldn't have expected me to act maturely.

For some reason, the rejection of my mother hit really hard and I couldn't control myself.


I pulled away from Cal and headed towards the bathroom and looked back at the 2 of them. Cal was staring at my mother as she hung her head down. Cal started whispering something to her and tears trailed down her face. I never did find out what he told her.

Chapter 1, Part 1

My name is Henny Masters. I come from the wealthiest family in Veronaville, just a few blocks from the Veronaville Market. In my time living here, the Capps and the montys have moved away and the town is owned equally by three families : The Callahans, The Yale family, and my family, the Masters.
My family (unfortunatley) has always been the odd one out, and this is my story.

My parents, Cal Masters and Alexandria Masters, are not my true parents, well at least my father isn't. My mother's previous boyfriend is my real father, my mother left him shortly after having me then married my 'legal guardian'. She tried to play me off as a drunken mistake and tried to submit me to the child services, but Cal wouldn't let her. You could say he saved my life as well as ruining my life.

I wasen't the cutest as I was younger, but my father absolutley adored me. He taught me how to walk and talk, and loved playing the xylaphone with me. I remember when my legal name was Hennaline Masters, but I adopted my nickname of Henny from my father when I was a toddler. He even went to court to get my name legally changed to Henny. He said it was nicer and claimed "Who names their kid Hennaline, anyway?", But I guess you could say the same about Henny.

My mother saw me and my father playing together and always tried to jump in, but I would never play for her. She would sit in front of me and tap the xylaphone while I stared at my father in confusion, then she would storm out in frustration with my father trailing behind her trying to comfort her. I've hated my mother for as long as I can remember, even though I never knew of her attempts to get rid of me when I was younger, we just didn't 'click' together.

As I neared the end of my 'toddler-hood' and inched towards childhood, I became what could only be described as a creative genius. My mother became even more frustrated when I wouldn't play with her, she even prohibited my father from being in the room when she attempted to play with me, needless to say, that didn't work either.

During my last hours as a toddler my mother broke down. "Why won't you accept me as your loving mother?!? You know what, FINE!! I don't care, Cal is the only one that wanted you anyway, you...you....UNDESERVING Child!!" I sat there unaware of my surroundings as suddenly I was surrounded by little sparkelys and was changing into a child...
