Well, there's your problem right there! You downloaded it from MATY! They're one of the worst sites for glitchy, broken stuff. Best tip: just don't download anything from them in the future.
18  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Trailer Door on: July 08, 2012, 12:17:04 pm
Post a pic of what you want and, if I have the appropriately shaped door in my CC I'll just do a recolor for you. Also note: Doing recolors of existing objects is not that hard. All you need is SimPE, a little knowledge and just a tad of artistic skill. Anyone can do it.
19  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Men / Re: STYLLOS DOWNLOADS 1 - men's clothes on: June 30, 2012, 12:36:09 pm
There's a big problem with your download links on 4shared: When I tried to download the files I got a prompt telling me I had to sign up or log in to download the files. Since I'm sure most don't want to bother with such a hassle it might be a good idea if you uploaded the files to another file sharing host. I recommend File Swap because they're easy to use, give fifty gigabytes of storage for your files and they make it easy for others to download your files. You might want to give them a try.

22  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: What's the last movie you watched? on: April 23, 2012, 07:37:45 am
Sita Sings The blues, an obscure but very interesting animated movie created by Nina Paley. Here's a link to her website: http://www.sitasingstheblues.com I don't know if Ms Paley was ever a Simmer or not but she would have made a great one! She made this movie and then just gave it away! Wonderful! A must-see if, for no other reason, than to honor her creative spirit and generous, wonderful attitude toward life, culture and everything!

Stevie Wonder - The Secret Life Of Plants - Outside My Window. Fun Song.

Go to MTS and do a search for "Pocahontas" in the S2 section. The result will show you a page with Pocahontas and Natoma on it. You can download the Pocahontis sim and use the hair from it, which is almost identical to what you're looking for.

Hello all, I know it has been a looong time since I posted here. I have missed you all a lot! So much has happened in my absence!!

I quit smoking (FOR GOOD this time) a year and-a-half ago… something I thought I’d never be able to do. I moved out on my own in January 2011 and am doing surprisingly well in my own little handicap-accessible apartment. I’ve taken to cooking and found I’m rather good at it. Cheesy

But with the good comes the bad: in March 2010 my mother was diagnosed with bone cancer AND lung cancer. Both were terminal and her expectancy was 4 – 12 months. That was TWO YEARS AGO, and she’s alive and making amazing progress. She will be in and out of chemo the rest of her life; but the longer I have her here, and not suffering, the better. Smiley

I’ve done a lot of maturing since I last posted here; I took a good long look at my life and decided it was time to change. I forgave those who did me wrong, let go of the negative people and fake friends, made new friends, and let go of a lot of built-up anger and resentment. I still have a ways to go yet, but the progress is evident that I’ve come a long way. Smiley

My desktop computer finally died in early 2011, at the ripe old age of eight and-a-half years. My mom let me borrow her netbook, which didn’t have a CD-Rom drive, so I couldn’t play TS2… for Christmas however, I got a new, full-size laptop, and despite what many have said about TS2 on Windows 7, I can play it just fine. Which is why I’m making new posts on my TS2 accounts… I missed it all, and am getting back in the game, so to speak. Cheesy

I’m looking forward to rejoining the awesome Sims community! Cheesy

Hi, Mooncat! It's nice to see you posting, again. Heck, for all that, it's nice to BE posting, myself, again! Nice pic of you and your wonderful mom. I like it! Hey, we never got to talk much, yesterday, about part two of Ruby's Burden. I'm still not sure which part of the story was your favorite. We'll have to discuss that more. I'll be working on Part 3, today. Hopefully I'll have the whole thing concluded in about a week or so, and then I can get started on "The Accident". You know... That one we talked about, yesterday. I'm looking forward to doing THAT one! It's going to be FUN! Cheesy

I know it's been a while since anyone posted here but this is important enough that it needs to be answered.

First, you don't need to buy or download anything to unlock the locked content in S3. (I found this out, myself.)

Here's what you do: Launch your game and in the loading screen open your cheat window (Ctrl+Shift+C) and type in testingcheatsenabled true.

Next, enter the house (family, house, whatever) you're playing.

Once inside open another cheat window and, in that, type buydebug on. Hit enter.

Now look in your catalogue: You'll see one item listed that's a question mark. Click that.

In there you'll find tabs for the fish, rocks and gems, plants and flowers and all that junk.

The items will show up as boxes so you'll have to mouse hover over them to get a popup description of each one.

What you'll find in that unlocked buyable items folder: Death Flower, Life Fruit, Everything you'd otherwise have to hunt for. I have a farm in my game that grows nothing but death flowers and life fruit, fish farm that grows nothing but Death Fish and Vampire Fish.

Follow the instructions I gave and  you'll be surprised what you find.
27  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: residential items on community lot on: May 08, 2011, 05:04:25 pm
There is even a simpler way to do something about the lot zoning: decorate the lot as a house, and then save it by putting it into the lot bin. Place it again into the NH and then change the lot zoning to community, and save that one as well by putting them in the bin or perhaps saving to file.

Once you have copies of both versions, you will never have to change the lot zoning again.

Interesting idea, MaryH but, again, the problem remains: Those items which were made to show on residential lots only will disappear off the lot the moment it's converted to Community.

However, once an object has been converted to both residential and community use the problem is solved forever. The conversion has to be done only once in SimPE and that's it. Problem solved.
28  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: residential items on community lot on: May 07, 2011, 06:13:46 pm
yes I know about changelotzoning but I'm avoiding it for freeze issues due to my graphics card. Anyway for SimPe I am not knowledgeable about this program. I heard about a hack and would prefer a hack. Thanks anyway  edinfresno for your tutorial if I may not find a hack for this I might as well learn SimPe

I'll admit the first time I ever opened SimPE to change something I was shaking in my boots with the fear that I was going to absolutely screw up whatever it was I was going to do and totally break my game! LOL!

Well, after about ten minutes of working with the program I was amazed at not only how easy it was to use but that I had nothing to be afraid of in the first place.

Now, I'm just saying that was me the first time and it has nothing to do with whatever reason you have for not trying it but I can assure you it is a lot easier than it looks and there's all kinds of great tutorials that will teach you how to do just about anything you can imagine.

I do hope you decide to try it out because I think that, once you do get comfortable with it, you'll end up having a ton of fun like I have.

A simpler method may be to use changelotzoning cheat.  After entering the cheat you will need to exit to the neighborhood screen and then reenter the lot.

The problem with Changelotzoning is that the second you change your lot back from Community to Residential is, 1: all the custom content made for Community lots disappears and, 2: changing lot zoning back and forth like that creates a lot of game play problems, the biggest one being that lots frequently become unplayable after two or three change-overs so, in my opinion, it's just easiest (and best / safest) for your game to simply open the object in SimPE and change the catalogue number and it also takes a lot less time.
