1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF shiny reflective glossy floors on: March 31, 2011, 10:03:48 pm
I've found some really nice reflective/glossy walls but the floors seem to be eluding me.  I'm not looking for any particular ones.  I am looking for many to add to my selection so any directions as to who has the nicest ones in your opinion would be lovely.  I've seen them since the base game and never got around to tracking them down.  If they're Sims2packs thats fine, mind numbing to install but fine lol.
2  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / AL what it is, fixes coastal apt lots man on: January 18, 2011, 04:04:42 pm
"what it is" is meant to be interpretted and said as 'beatnic' as possible.  I just spent the past 4 weeks working on 2 apartment buildings and playing on Apartment complexes.  With a few AL ea ingame cheats I was able to create some pretty nice coastal apartments, and kept running into a problem.  Everytime I moved a new tenant into the complex the ocean line and land levels would warp.  I took a quick shot of what kept happenning.

Notice the water line, the ocean was now as high as my second floor, the road signs are floating mid-air, and the camera would only lower to the water's new line.  If your sims walk into the water well, there isn't any but they don't seem to mind.  I spent 3 days trying to locate online answers to why this was happenning and finally after reading a post on Modthesims I found the answer I was looking for.  ( the post only half referred to my problem and I read all 7 pages of replies just to 'happen' across the right answer )  So I wanted to make a post here about how to fix this problem without having the problem of finding the right post to solve it lol.

Here's the fix, so simple you'll want to hug me.  After moving your tenant/tenant's into the apartment, save and return to neighborhood view, now pick up the lot and set it back down.  Poof like magic your done, returning to the lot, the land and water levels should be back to normal!  Now this is something that has to be repeated for each sim you move in from the sim bin.  I hope this helps anyone who runs into this little hiccup in the game.  I know I was so sad thinking I'd be forced to bulldoze my handmade coastal condominiums and would have loved finding the answer faster.  Cheers!
3  Simmers' Paradise / Mods & Careers / Mod for Orphanage on: September 13, 2010, 08:56:18 am
Well all I'm really looking for is the ability to sell children.  I don't mean this in a horrible way, or inhumane lol.  I like adopting children from the regular phone method, but after raising them I want to be able to offer them to other families, like you can do with your pets.  Free is fine, but we all know adoption has a price in reality, so realistically a mod that forced a minimum payment would be preferable.  I have looked for this without any luck.  I have all ep's and sp's as the sticky tells me to include.  Any other questions about the 'exacts' I'm looking for just ask me.  I just want to run an orphanage, as closely as I can to the real thing. Here's hoping.
4  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Driveway recolors (FOUND) on: August 10, 2010, 03:37:08 pm
I'm looking for working driveways that are recolored, any feedback would be great.  Not looking for a particular type or color, I'm looking for variety, so any recolors would be great, fake stone, brick, etc...

You'd think they would have added something to the driveways with Mansions and Gardens, and looking for recolors has only lead me to 2 new colors but I'd like more.  Any quick leads would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
5  Simmers' Paradise / I Want My Own Thread / Happy Can't Help It on: June 21, 2010, 04:44:39 pm
I'm going to repost my pics here now that my topic has died down in the general discussion.  I just really love making my sims and as much joy as they bring me in the creation, downloading pieces, and playing them.   Sharing a few pictures is another way for me to encourage the masses to love them too..

I call this breakfast of champions.^^^  The one below is my favorite made sim so far. vvv

If you like these, I will gladly share more, just let me know.  I also have more pics at my own website.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What was your latest inspriration!? on: June 09, 2010, 03:14:35 pm
I just finally finished testing and sorting my 12 gigs of custom content and mod's (took 2monthes) and am almost satisfied that I have what I need to build my ultimate new town, Priva Pearle.  I have started this town twice and just could NOT get it to run smoothly or look as oriental as I wanted.  Hence my two month downloading + testing time.  I used the Bella neighborhood template so I'd have some nice shoreline houses for my princesses and some hills for my emperors.  Bought a new pc this month so my game can finally enjoy the expansion packs without going into lagcoma. (its a word) lol.  The whole Asian theme started when I seen some asian styled custom sims here 2yrs ago, and with my fascination with the older generation of morning musume, I went on a downloading frenzy to find peices to complete the wonderment that filled my imagination.  Long live the sims2 ability to keep me dreaming!
7  Welcome to insimenator.org / Issues & Suggestions / Friendly HappyThoughts asks, do you wanna? on: June 04, 2010, 05:46:14 pm
I'm going to try and explain this to the best of my abilities.  Just to clarify I have no problems with this site or it's members quite the contrary.  All I'm asking is if anyone would mind if mentioned your site at my own website(not a hotlink), also while I have no intention of putting my website in any posts inside your server, I would like to offer you a new idea, that I can offer to those who like the idea.  Its ventrilo, we have a 50man public server we offer to our members.  For those unaware what ventrilo is, its a live talk program thats as good as sitting in a room together to shoot the breeze.  And since this site has been one of my first downloading frenzied affairs, I wanted to offer what I can back.  If any of you are interested just check out my profile for my info or pm me!  If not I completely understand and still support your site to fellow gamers.  Cheers

9  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Looking for more!! on: May 03, 2010, 05:43:38 pm
ok I've searched the forums, and came across an ancient thread talking about increasing lot sizes, this is something me and my husband were looking for now the past couple monthes.  Not because we have a household of 4 dozen mind you, both of us have a preference of living on a large acred if not square miled estate consisting of mostly woodland, ponds and streams.  Now I have all ep's and sp's, so obviously the unreliable mod they have at MTS2 isn't for me.  But if anyone knows of a way please let us know.  I have a new pc on the way that won't hesitate to run sims2 10x's over (bragging!) so if system requirements make increasing lots so 'iffy', we've got that covered.  Any feedback or help on how to make this a reality in any way would be supremely appreciated!

Cheers  Coffee2
10  Welcome to insimenator.org / The Welcome Wagon / Big Shucks Howdy From Happy! on: April 30, 2010, 09:26:11 pm
Ok here goes, Hi to all members, admins, and artists.  I've been a proud simmer (2only) since it's release.  I've never had the priviledge of playing the game online but I've never grown tired of playing with myself...Anyways, I recently got my hands on ALL of the EP's and stuff packs and am so busy re-downloading compatible mods and custom content I haven't even seen how the new behav/env/and fun there is to be enjoyed yet.  In a nutshell I dumped all my old cc (3gigs) small fries for some of you I know.  I've been out of the cc communities for so long I'm buried in every forum at everysite for hours at end looking for that perfect item.  Also I am a stay at home mother/wife, mostly by choice, and my only child has reached the teen years JOY!  Meaning my ability to learn and create and waste time is finally upon me.  I mean to self educate myself with tutorials and walkthru's BUT anyone who would like to pass on one on one knowledge to me is free to find me thru my profile.  I've taken so much from these websites I think I owe it to them to start giving back, and yes as soon as i figure out how to I wouldn't mind throwin a few bucks in to keep one of my favorite games free sites thriving.  The more everyone give either in donation or custom creations can only make a site like this and others of its kind running.  MUCH RESPECT TO ALL Coffee2
