I had braces a couple of years ago, and i wasnt that bad... Yea it hurts a little the first 2 or 3 days, and that's it. People didnt even noticed that i had them  Its kinda annoying with all that metal in your mouth, but youll be glad that you had it (;

I had the same problem once. It has something to do with your HP health Check. Try to do this:

Step 1: Go to start menu.
Step 2: Type in 'hp health check'.
Step 3: Right-Click on 'HP Health Check' then select Properties.
Step 4: In the short-cut tab, you'll immediately notice the short-cut key to start HP Health Check is indeed 'Ctrl + Shift + C'!
Step 5: Change the short-cut!
Step 6: If you have this program as a desktop icon, repeat steps 3-5.

That could be your problem. I dont know what else you can do
