2  The Sims 3 / Pudding WCIF / WCIF: Peggy 3900 hair for TS3 on: May 13, 2011, 07:46:38 am
Hello, I'm a long time lurker/downloader, and not the usual poster, but I figured since I can't find this hairstyle I'd ask here. I'm looking for the ts3 version of the Peggy 3900 hair for females. I've seen on Savio's Stuff that they were going to post the hair, but never did, and was wondering if anyone knew of a download link for it.

http://saviostuff.blogspot.com/2009/08/short-hair-peggy-4644.html

It's the second hairstyle

I'd really appreciate any help I can get cool

P.S.: It's the TS3 version!

Glad to hear things are working for you again! I'm mot surprised it might've been a buggy Store item. While not everyone has reported problems with them, I've seen my fair share of people who have been reporting errors with a large amount of said items.

EDIT: Everything seems to be fine again and I got rid of all those notorious EAstore items that you said are known to be buggy. One more question for you though: If I use the testingcheatsenabled on console command, does the game generally mess up and do random crashes because it is activated?(I'm wondering if the command is bugged for certain things)

I've been using it from day one without a problem. The only errors/bugs/glitches I've heard reported were from people who intentionally misuse it -- usually by deleting stuff they shouldn't or randomly clicking crap they have no idea about.

Heh, reminds me of deleting sims to make them respawn with full motives in the original sims games, but no I don't use it for anything like that. I just use it for restoring dangerously low motives and teleporting when I'm lazy. I also use the fps command to watch when my fps drops.

Also maybe my bookstore will actually have books now in game(completely forgot it never had books xD)

I tried your 50/50 method. And I'm wondering if it was one of my object mods that did it(I had a couple sets like kitchens living rooms etc, and a bunch of F-P cars). Thanks for your advice though, I'm just glad I don't have to go through the long and grueling process of reinstalling ~_~.

Well, since Late Night is the most recent EP, I'd say yes. Wink

Another thing to check: go in game, click on 'Options', and check what setting your 'Visual Effects' slider is set at. I have a feeling it may be set too low -- thereby disabling the effects you mentioned.
I have all the EP's and SP's(Base, WA, AM, LN, HEL stuff, FL stuff) and I have all my game settings on high(except trees, I hate loading those).

I also run this game in a window at 1368x768 resolution(85:48). I don't use fullscreen as I would always have crashing issues with it(whenever certain base game items were clicked it would just close itself)

PC Specs(Hope this is enough info):
========
CPU: Intel Core i7 930 (O.C. to 3.0ghz)
GPU: Dual nVidia geForce 9800GT's(SLI)
RAM: 3x2GB A-Data 1600mhz gaming RAM
MoBo: some gigabyte mobo that can handle everything I've put on it lol
PSU: 700-watts
And my game is stored on a Sata-III HDD.

Hello there, I'm a long time lurker/down loader/member, and a not too often poster. I have a small problem with certain effects in game(I would describe them as particle effects?). Basically certain objects particle effects don't work like the Gobi strobe light: It produces light to the surrounding area, but like there won't be any lasers or beams of light coming out of it. The same thing happens with smoke machines at clubs, they don't actually produce anything when turned on. Lastly I've noticed this happens with music in the game too: the music notes effect does not show up even when say a radio or stereo is turned on.

My display drivers are up to date, I have the latest patch for Late Night(6.1.11.009001), so it shouldn't be an issue with my graphics card or game version, so I'm wondering if maybe it's one of my many custom content files or mods installed. If this is the case, then what type of mod would cause this sort of behavior? Any help is appreciated Smiley

Ah ha...Are the sims it's doing that with wearing custom clothes or maxis? And anceint said your system does meet the requirement, not that it doesn't Wink

Eh? xD Well i need caffeine then...Been abstaining from it for about 3 weeks now D;. But alot of customs do that, but the thing is it doesnt matter whether or not if I have custom content in or not. It'll do it at random or it'll do like i said in my other post. I updated my drivers so I'm going to see if that does anything.

NOTE: it started to happen after i patched BV. Check my theory in one of my posts (forgot which, but it's near the top).

EDIT: WELL DIP ME IN CHOCOLATE AND THROW ME TO THE LESBIANS! Updating my drivers is all I had to do! D: and it's been doin this for 3 months xD. I am so dumb lol.

Thanks so much for all the great ideas. They really helped.
11  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Trails problem and some glitchy stuff on: July 10, 2008, 01:33:17 pm
Eh!? it doesnt meet it? O_o I've only had it for 2 years D:

But either way it should still be above the minimum requirements FOR SURE.

EDIT: Oh and that messed up face thing. It only does that on some of my sims. Sometimes it won't even do it...depending on what i choose to put on them. Eg if its shown up in the cas as cut off or something or it does that 4 corner thing, then their pic will be messed up like that too. If say the hairstyle or clothing are both normal lookin in CAS with no messed up pic of it then the sims pic won't get messed up either. It's a little weird thing i noticed.

I think then, the best suggestion I can come up with is to try updating your video drivers. If you're not tech savvy enough to do it, perhaps you can ask around your friends/family and find someone who can do it for you.

Mmk i'll try that. I hope that's all it is >.<
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Trails problem and some glitchy stuff on: July 10, 2008, 12:02:19 pm
Well i did delete those, but it still did all that glitchy stuff again. So any other ideas? Oh and it's started to do trails again like the first pic i posted.
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Trails problem and some glitchy stuff on: July 10, 2008, 11:43:14 am
ok uh here's my pc specs

- Dell XPS 600
- DVD/CD drives
- Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80GHz
- 2046MB RAM
- Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A04
- DirectX 9.0c
- NVIDIA GeForce 6800 graphic card
- SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio sound card
- Samsung SyncMaster 930B 19" monitor
- I use a 1280 x 1024 resolution
- I have all EPs. And all stuff packs so far except Teen Style, IKEA stuff, or Holiday Stuff.

So does that information help you at all?

EDIT: When I installed the monitor to my pc I accidentally installed it in analog rather than digital. Don't know if that makes any difference, because the problem didnt happen until way after I installed the monitor due to me having to replace my Hard Drive because the old one got corrupted.

Try deleting your .thumbnails folder. Sometimes it gets corrupted and is safe to delete, since the game recreates it when you restart the game. The groups.cache, memory.cache  and cigen.package files work the same way. Every so often it's a good idea to delete them and let the game generate new ones.  Smiley You'll find them in My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2

Hmm i have a Thumbnails folder and groups.cache, but i have no memory.cache or cigen.package. The only other cache i have is Accessory.cache...so I did delete them, but not permanently from my recycling bin. I just want to know if it's good if I deleted just the folder and groups.cache.
