I use CJ's No Auto view art found here: http://cyjon.net/node/42. However, I will say if Pescado's mod is not working in your game it is probably because it is conflicting with something else that you have. The hack conflict detector is an absolute must when playing with a modded game - that would be your first step in determining why a mod is not working. You can stop ghosts from visiting simply by placing their urn/headstone in a Sim's inventory (or by deleting it). Ghosts only materialize if their urn or headstone is placed physically on the lot somewhere. Good luck with your other issue.
Not a good idea to keep headstones or urns in Sims inventory for extended periods of time. Doing so has the potential to corrupt your game. It is best to move them to a permanent resting place and leave them there.
I had the same problem before I had apartment life -at the time I had all expansions thru Mansion and Gardens. What I did was use the Sim Blender (I have one on every community lot along with the bat box) to teleport in an adult or teen family member and I made them selectable and had them call the taxi to get home.
I am glad that it worked for you. However, I must caution you again about the continued use of the above cheat. It's a possibility that continued use will render the lot unplayable. It is better to move the Sims out - change the lot zoning - make your changes - change lot zoning back to apartmentbase and move them back in. One of the perks of AL is that you don't lose anything in the Apartments when your sims out.
