1  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Quetion regarding Alphas on: November 27, 2008, 03:42:23 pm
Thanks for replying Jasumi, I just need to make sure I correctly understand all of this.

When you say no paysites, does that mean just the mesh.  I did read the Read me but it only covered the mesh, not the recolour.  I am confused because of somthing Marvine stated

[Quote: The mesh is included in the RAR. The mesh may not be redistributed without permission. Please link back to this thread for the mesh and give credit. Recolours may be posted on any site; however because of the nature of Maxis exchange you may not use this mesh for any Sim you upload to Maxis Sims 2 Exchange.

Thanks and sorry to be a pest.  I have not tried making outfits before and do not wish to upset anyone.
2  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Quetion regarding Alphas on: November 26, 2008, 09:04:26 pm
Hello

I have 2 question concerning Cloning and recolouring clothing – please note .. this is not about needing tutorials .

I need to know if we are allowed to alter the alpha on the cloned file?

I would like to make a full bodied outfit for Merfolk, but to do so I would need to clone one of Marvine’s mertails and make changes to the top section of the alpha.  I know permission has been given for recolours, but I can not find any info on the policy of alphas.  I would be using images I have downloaded from the wed for the recolouring.

I did PM Mervine but have had no reply

My second question is  - If altering and alpha is permissible, would I be allowed to submit the clothing to this and other sites?  I know I have to give a link to the mesh here and credit to Marvine.

Is there anything else I need to be aware of if I do submit some outfits?

Thank you
3  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / AL Playable Families Toggle hack on: November 09, 2008, 11:14:59 am
Hi Squinge'

I realise this may not be possible - but nothing ventured nothing gained, so here goes.

I would like a mod that enables us to toggle between playable families in an apartment block, instead of having to go back to the NH to change families.

Thankyou

Great work.

There is a lot of outfits for Egyptian adult male and female but there are more needed for the other ages especially children and elders.  Would you consider doing some please.

6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / In regards to Children Sleep Over Hack on: June 19, 2007, 07:19:52 am
I have the ''Children Sleep Over''  hack in my game and have had a child ask a friend to sleep over.  The friend stayed but did not sleep in a bed, even though there was a spare bed in the daughters room as well as a spare room with a double bed.  She ended up slleeping on the lounge.  Is this the normal behavour related to this hack

Thank you
7  Resident Creators / EP5 Mods / Sleepover enabled for children EP5 on: April 08, 2007, 10:13:10 pm
Hi Squinge

Well good news for you but bad news for me. When I ran the SW Conflict dector it failed to detect any conflicts so I installed the entire game onto another computer and with just this mod in I can get the fishing option.

When I added the rest of my mods, the action was not available.  So even though the Detector is not finding one, you are right there is one there some where. I am pleased that it is not this mod.

Would you like to know what is causing the conflict if i can find it?

Thanks

Hi Squinge

Someone just had to spoil things, so why not me.

There have been some players having a problem with this mod interfering with the ability to get the 'fish' option.  I was wondering if you have been able to solve the problem.

Thanks
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / seasons keeps crashing on: March 12, 2007, 02:34:33 am
I had the same crashing and message when installed Pets on my brand new Dell computer. I also tried the nv4 fix which reduced the occurances but did not stop them. It was a Dell Technition who helped me by having me upgrade my Bios.  Now this may or may not help you but it is something to keep in mind if all else fails.

DecoraChroi suggestion is  a good start and I am sure that others will offer more.  I wish you luck because I know how frustrating it is.

Thanks Squinge

Your hacks are becoming adictive, my Squinge Hacks folder is the first thing I save when doing any changes to my game, eventhough I know I can replace them if necessary.

As this is a Mer Question I hope this is the right area

Have Merparents been given the ability to produce merbabies or do they produce human babies that we have to dress in tails?

Hi  again beosboxboy

I would like to download the hair that has been used on the Satry horn and ear models - can you please tell me  where I can find it

I would also like to have the hairy body.  I have downloaded AllenABQ's normal Sims hairy bodies - are these what I need or is there a special one I have to have for the Satry

The files for the hairy bodies - do they go in Downloads or should I place them in Saved Sims

Will the hairy body files change the bodies of already created male sims

Thanks for all you help
