I have trouble installing the expansion packs. I'm confused here. A LITTLE HELP!??

I downloaded a torrent, but the expansion packs are confusing. I don't know how to start this. If anyone is kind enough, can they check this?

Title says it all. Sorry, just a newbie here asking questions...

Where can I find mods for the core sims 2 game? I don't have the EP's yet but I well get them soon. Also, how do I use .package files if I don't have a Downloads folder?

Is it possible if the guys can make a sim just from this picture, or do I need more?
