61  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life- EP 8? on: April 11, 2008, 09:00:37 pm

- so let's pray for major disaster to strike TS3

It is so sad that we want to see TS3 fail to launch but there you have it! People on this thread mentioned wanting to see the return of Makin' Magic and Superstar for TS2. If Superstar would make a return, then I'd like to see a personal audio/video studio where a sim can record a song, make an indie film and what have you. Of the objects that were in Superstar originally, I'd like to see the return of the "swin in aquarium". I always that that was the coolest thing!
62  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life- EP 8? on: April 10, 2008, 06:22:19 pm
I am not unfond of the idea of apartment life but if that is going to be the last EP, then BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'm still waiting on the EP that lets us raise livestock for either yeilding (for eggs, milk and what not) or consuming. Of course I don't want to show the slaughter of animals but it could be done the same way that fishing is done in Seasons. Oh well maybe TS3 will eventually have it (yeah right).
Actually, more people on the message boards of the TS2 site have said that they wanted a "Country Life" EP than anyone who asked for "Apartment Life".
Will I get Apartment Life? Yeah, I probably will because I'm a Sim-A-Holic! However, I am saddened that this will be the last EP. Sad

CrossCountry,
I'm just saying that we can't judge how awesome or sucky it'll be until AFTER it comes out. If reviews say that it sucks then I won't get it. If reviews say that it's great then I will get it! It's as simple as that.

With everyone speculating on how good or bad TS3 is going to be, it begs the question:
How do you know? The game is not going to be out for a year (as of yesterday). So, how will you really know if it's going to be good or bad?
I think that we all need to just "chill out" and see what happens, when it happens. Just remember, the only constant in the universe is change. The Sims franchise is no different.

And have you guys heard anything about the hairs? Just curious.

According to some sites, the hair wil flow even more naturally..."like a conditioner commercial" one site put. As far as hair STYLES and the ability to create thereof, I have heard nothing.

I do think that we're all (including myself) getting ladders in our tights over very little right now. EA/Maxis hasn't released anything truly specific as to what can be customized or not. Also we have about a year before the game comes out.

Well I posted a question on the TS2 forums in hopes that one of the maxoids would give some indication as to what things are rumor and what things are real, So far I have gotten a bunch of "I heard that (yadda yadda yadda)" from fans but nothing "concrete" from any of the Maxoids.
67  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What families would you like to see in TS3? on: April 02, 2008, 08:47:16 pm
With people on both sides of the fence as fara as looking forward or not looking forward to TS3 coming out I am curious about something. Let's just suppose that (regardless of your feelings of TS3) you ARE going to get TS3. What would families (from TS1 or TS2) would you like to see make a return in TS3?
I'd (probably like a lot of fans) Would like to see the Goths return. However I dont want to see a timeline advance and have Mortimer already passed away and no chance of Bella coming back. No, I want to see Mortimer and Bella together again, Cassandra as a teen, and Alexander as a child. Of course the BEST thing would be to have all of the original TS1 families make a comeback.
So, what about you? Who would you like to see in TS3 and why?

If it's true that people can't make thier own clothes in TS3, then I don't think that I'll get it! I pride my self on my work. I'm especially proud of my Hooters girls outfits (check them out at the Sims2 website's exchange under "kevida120766"*). Anyway, making custom clothing is one fo the things that I like the most.

*shameless self-plug

I'm slowly warming up to it but, like others, I'll wait and see what others think to decie whether or not its for me.
70  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Clarification about TS2: FT on: March 19, 2008, 05:15:30 pm
How high do the STR/LTR have to be before best friends become BFFs?
71  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Clarification about TS2: FT on: March 16, 2008, 04:58:08 pm
Does anyone have any inside information as to whether Free Time is going to be the last EP of The Sims 2 line or is there another EP on the horizon before The Sims 3? I know there has been speculation both ways but does anyone know anything "official" ?
72  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / The Sims 3 buzz/gossip/rumours on: March 13, 2008, 03:32:11 pm
SimDipsy, if if that's how you feel then that's cool too!
73  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / The Sims 3 buzz/gossip/rumours on: March 12, 2008, 09:27:47 pm
What I'd like to see in TS3 would be:
1) The ability to change EVERY aspect of my sims' clothing/grooming from the outer garmets right down to the nail polish (or nail varnish depending where you're from) and EVERYTHING in between.
2) Everything that's from TS2 be available in TS3 from the start (i.e. everything in the current EPs/SPs)
3) Ability to raise livestock for "yeilding" (for eggs, milk, et cetera) and "taking to market" (for meat). I mean don't show the slaughter but have a buyer show up to take your live stock and your sims will end up with meat in their fridge and money in their account. TS3 could also have that animal be in the Sim's invetroy and it could be cooked the way the fish in Seasons can be.
4) A "crudness control" that an adult can set up so ALL ages can play.
5) Since Seasons included fishing why not have TS3 have hunting? Now if hunting offends you then don't have your sims do it. Also, dont show the actual killing. Just have whatever weapon be used and announce that your sim bagged a and the sims can either mount it or have the ability to cook it if it in the sim's inventory (like you can wil the fish in Seasons)
That's all that I can think of now!
Thoughts?

I'm probobaly going to be told, "shut up nood" but I'll say this anyway. To quote Toby Kieth "Before all of the debating become angry words of hate, sometimes we should just agree to disagree" (or it goes something like that).

Baytor, if you want to believe what you want to believe then go right ahead but quit questioning someone's integrity when they bring up facts that don't support your argument and are causing you to be wrong. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and be wrong!

PegasusDiana, as much as Baytor is upsetting you and as wrong as Baytor's opinions may or moy not be, Baytor still has a right to them. You can't take away someone's right to be an idiot. Don't let others upset you because that's what they want. It's just a form of cyberbullying!

Okay I am now off of my soap box. Let's talk more about TS3!!!!!!
75  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / The Sims 3 buzz/gossip/rumours on: March 10, 2008, 06:06:49 pm
My hope is that things that made TS2 great are included in TS3 "right away" (going on REAL dates, having pets, vacation destinations, seasons et cetera) and not have to wait for an EP like we had to with TS2. The changing shoes thing is cool and all but what about other accesories (socks, hose, ties, jewelery, et cetera) or the various states of undress I mentioned in a previous post? I'm sure that nobody can say right now but it would be nice to know how deep one can customize thier Sims' clothes!
I would also like to see a "parental filter". You see, I have an eight year old grand daughter wants to play, but TS2 has subjects not fit for children. Essentially, she wants to do everything "Paw-Paw" (isn't that a cute name she calls me?) does. I liked how having childern in TS1 was handled in case the young ones were playing. A customizable rating system would be perfect! Who's with me an that?
My other hope is that at least one other TS1 EP is given a counterpart in TS2. Having either a TS2 version of Superstar or Makin' Magic (preferably both Smiley) would be a good way to end the TS2 Franchise!
