I've been taking a break from Sims 2 to play Neverwinter Nights 2.  Also been playing LEGO Star Wars 2 on the XBox 360 with my hubby.  All I can say is... holy crap that game is fun.

Weee!! The poor boy isn't going to know what hit him, by the time I'm through!

My first Sims2 sims were of my husband and me.  And, knowing me, I probably did the same in Sims1. lol

And after I tested the game and abused them terribly, I made my completely fictional neighbourhoods.

I love using unique hair colours like silver, white, blue, purple, etc.  And now that I'm getting into having grandchildren and mixing my families, it's neat to see different genetics popping up in odd places.

Thanks so much!  I've been waiting for a white recolour.  I tried to do it myself, but creating quality recolours just isn't my strong point. lol

I stopped playing Sims 1 just in April, when I finally broke down and tried Sims 2.  I haven't looked back since, and actually just uninstalled it all yesterday.

There are a few things I really miss about it, though.  I miss the Make A Date feature, and the ability to change, delete, replace, reclothe, etc. etc. all the characters and townies (thanks Paladin!!).  I loved that when I went downtown, every single Sim was one that I had created and had a story and a purpose.

I guess I can do that in Sims 2, but it just seems to require a heck of a lot more work, programs, hacks, etc.

My families are lovingly cared for, but any character I didn't make is fair game.

After my last batch of YA's graduated from university, I kept my one vampire around for last and sent him through the dorm to kill all the rest of the dormies.  That was fun. >
