As far as photo shots go, you could simply re-pollinate your sim using InSIM and skip to the stage s/he needed to be at -- and then abort when the photo shoot is completed.

And here is the reason I defend Pets so much:



He's very friendly but pretty middle of the road otherwise.

I made him in part to experiment with using full-body layers to create new coat colors, since he's a rather brownish grey IRL.
