That's what scares me...they just rush into things, without considering all the possibilities/bugs/problems/errors, and it's just a big letdown.
I said it many times before, and I'll say it again, yes--some features for S3 look amazing, but I'm in no rush, none at all. That game is going to have to be out there for a while, and have to be fully customizable before I spend a dime on it.
I just wish those people weren't in such a rush to do EVERYTHING.
Oh, and while I think the houses and neighborhoods looks FANTASTIC in S3, they should really fire the skintone/clothing/hair designers for the game. I mean, I know I've created some really bright/oddly textured clothing when I first opened my site, but then again, I wasn't being given a PAYCHECK to make them. These people went to school...for that? I'd demand a refund for my degree...

During one of my breaks today, my mind flitted to S3, and I thought about the preview video that was released for S2. I remember all these incredibly cool things that NEVER HAPPENED, and of course once the game was released, along with all the EPs in their wonderful glory, I'd get so caught up in new features that DID ship that I'd forget about all the incredible stuff that made me want to buy S2 after seeing the showcasing video in the first place.
Kids sliding down banisters, being able to set things on fire, building blocks, hanging on fan blades, adults being able to rip off clothing (lol, I just thought that was funny), grown adults able to toss themselves onto the floor and throw temper tantrums...
I mean, there was so much more, but that's just the point, all the "incredible" stuff they're showing us for S3...could it be another case of "we're just using these animations to give you an idea of the game...but we don't actually INTEND to ship them with any of the EPs, let alone the base game".
That would piss me the hell off.

You know, I think it's about the skintones that custom content creators have made, I mean we all know that EA doesn't have the best track record of making realistic-looking...anything, lol. But that's just it, maybe...who knows, maybe with CC it could be better? I just don't know, I can't say I'm excited, not at all. Those screenshots, and that article actually took my interest in the wrong direction, lol. Long live Sims 2!

Ok, after seeing all that, I have to say it...the sim people in 3 look scary. I mean, cool that you change shoes, and there are different hairstyles, and you can make them fatter or skinnier, but they look like robots! I'm just...I'm just not feeling them. The scenery, however, looks fantastic. I say just make a new EP for 2 that makes them able to be fatter/skinnier, and gives them more animations, and I'd be fine. It's weird, but I think the sims in 2 look more realistic than 3!
