I made this Sim ages ago, but never uploaded him. I don't know why, I guess I was struggling with the fact that I used the hair, beard and clothes from Barcelonista's version. I hope she doesn't mind that I borrowed these items from her - I couldn't have made this Sim without her hard work. I think her version is very good, I just wanted the challenge of making his face myself. Anyway, this is my version and I hope you like it.

This is the Englewood. It is a cozy two-storey house on a spacious lot, with plenty of room for kids and pets to play outside. Like a lot of old houses you find these days, this one needs a little fixing up. The walls are plain white and the floor is wood plank. It's just waiting for you to add your personal touch.

The downstairs bathroom is rather large, and could double as a pet's room or a laundry room. It has a full basement that is unfinished, so as your family grows, you could add extra bedrooms, bathrooms or a playroom down there.

The master bedroom is very spacious and has its own private bathroom and a small walk in closet. It also has its own fireplace, an outside deck and a bay window.

The other two bedrooms are small, but perfect for a couple of kids or teenagers.

The furnished version (for your convenience, since I know some of you (including myself) prefer to be able to just move a family in and play), is furnished with Maxis items only. I left some little things for you to take care of, like small appliances in the kitchen and pictures and decorations on the walls.

Biography   

Bath, England's singer/composer/keyboardist Allison Goldfrapp began exploring music as a part of her studies as a Fine Art Painting major at Middlesex University, mixing sound, visuals, and performances in her installation pieces. While she was still in college, she appeared on her friend Tricky's 1995 debut Maxinquaye, which led to appearances on albums from other cutting-edge electronic artists, including Orbital's Snivilisation and Add N to X's Avant Hard. By the late '90s, Goldfrapp began honing her own compositions; one of her friends passed some of her demos on to composer Will Gregory. Finding much in common in their musical tastes and approaches, the duo took Allison's surname as the name for their collaboration. After signing to Mute in 1999, Goldfrapp delivered their debut album, Felt Mountain, in fall 2000. Felt Mountain went on to nealry universal acclaim and spawned several singles, including the Utopia Genetically Enriched EP, which arrived in early 2001. After spending most of that year touring, Goldfrapp spent most of 2002 recording and returned with Black Cherry in spring 2003. 2005 saw the release of the Ooh La La single and the full-length Supernature, both of which continued the disco and glam-rock influences of the duo's previous album.

I would also recommend that you check out their music, if you haven't already. They're one of my favorites.

I was unable to find her trademark curly hair, but I found some recent pictures of her with straight hair, so I went with it. I also created a little hoodie dress for her that will only be available with this Sim. I had fun making her; I hope you like her.

The hair you see in the second row of pictures is The Bride by Kavar. I think it looks nice on this Sim too.

Morten Harket is the singer and frontman in the Norwegian pop-group, "a-ha" since 1982. The group reached the top of the Billboard hit 100 with the classic falsetto-song "Take On Me" in 1985. Morten, Magne Furuholmen and Pål Waaktaar, got most famous for the "Take On Me" video with sensational animations combined with real footage.

I have to admit that looking at his Sim reminded me a lot of that video!
