Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Old World Charm Add-Ons
|

I have made a few additional items to go with my Old World charm bedroom and bath from my previous post. Included are a recolor of the maxi vase, 2 recolors of the orb on a tray, a recolor of the antique curtains, blinds and the durable sofa. I have also included a white base and blue top recolor of the counter culture cabinets, a white superlative sink and the cheap white toilet. None of my recolors have dirty states. I don't like them so I don't put them in the recolors. In a separate rar file I have included recolors of SP Xiomara's maxi match durable loveseat and chair(you will need her meshes from N99 forum). They can be downloaded from the N99 Forum PAK site. I have used CTNutmeggers bed match dazzle curtains , simple mirror (also from N99) and fireplace (from MTS2) in my photos. They make the bedroom so much more sophisticated in my opinion. N99 PAK site and MTS2 are both worth a visit for the wonderful free content. The carpet in the parlor is by MSBarrows at TSR (also bed match and is free). N99 PAK: http://n99forumpaks.djssims.com/index.phpMTS2: http://www.modthesims2.com/index.php?

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Making Pond in the Ocean

Has anyone figured out how to make a pond in the ocean? I wanted to see my sims fish from the beach. I was able to build a pond in the ocean but when I tried to have my sims fish out of it there was no action available.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / The Hyde Park

The Hyde Park 2X3 Lot $107,759.00 3 Bedroom 3 1/2 bath(I always try to put a 1/2 bath located where the neighbors can use it so they don't cry but still be able to lock them out of the home) Basement with Pool Curbside Parking Fruit Trees Enclosed Garden Pond I have all EP's and Stuff packs and not limited the furnishing to any particular EP or Pack. The doors I used are from Phoenix_Phaerie's Georgian build collection. To have them show up you will need to download at a minimum the cmgeorgianentrydoor. Tampa, Florida has a section called Hyde Park. Many of the homes are bungalow's built in the 1920's and 1930's. I modeled this home after the bungalow's there except I added a basement which we do not have because of the water level. I did not try to make this a cheap home. I wanted to make it a garden club pleaser. I played a duplciate home before uploading, the garden club loved it. I do admit to having twojeff's hack perfectgardens and squinge's hack nomorepuddles to keep the plants happy and the animals from making puddles on the lot(these are not included) because I love to put plants in odd places that frustrate the gardner and the sims without perfectgarden and I dislike having to have my sims clean up doggie puddles **yuch**. The lot was a real challenge. I wanted the Garden room attached to the back porch so my sims could eat breakfast on the porch and view the garden. I kept having trouble with the roof of the Garden Room falling into the room after I put it on. I finally resolved the problem but still don't quite know why it was happening. The main floor is furnished and decorated. I did not decorate the basement which I use as a recreation room. Robert Gordan my sim has wanted to marry his sweetheart Darlene Donnovan for years. Robert has only managed to save $20,000. He looked at real estate for 3 months, before he found Garden Grove Cottage. He took Darlene to see the cottage and proposed on the spot. He and Darlene will be going to yard sales to furnish the cottage. The snapshot of the front shows an area to the left front that is bark only. This is to show where the invisible driveway is. The bark can be easily removed (I do not find it estheticaly pleasing at all but needed to show location of the driveway). I played a duplicate lot (this one is new and clean), corrected a couple of problems before uploading. You will need to go to the link for Phoenix_ Phaerie and download at a minimum the cmgeorgianwindow1. The Georgian Palladian window used in the front of the home is slave to that window. I have the whole set because I use it regularly and could not do without it. I have used Macarossi's plants to decorate the property. I cannot say enough about her. She has the most wonderful plants and build items. Numenor's Wooden stairs recolourable are a staple in my game. I have all EP's and Stuff Packs installed. My understanding is not perfect but since I made curbside parking using nightlife you would have to have all of the EP's also. Garden Grove 2X3 Lot $15.755.00 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Basement (to expand household) Pond I have left the kitchen and bath furnished all other rooms are unfurnished. The pictures were taken with the furniture I made specifically for the home but will be uploaded in separate post. I have patched my games but still cannot get any of my recolors to attach. I have included in the rar the following recolors (which can be discarded if you like), clgwhitesuperlative sink, clgwhitemanorhousemirrorframe, clgcheapcounterbase, clguprightcolomnwhite(mispelled column), clgstormproofhatchinteriorwhite (the interior part of the front and back doors), clgstormproofhatchgreen (the exterior of the front and back doors), clginvisibledriveway, clggardenroomcountertop(kitchen counter top), clggardenroomcounter(kitchen cabinet), clgfragrancerdoorwhite(interiordoor), clgcheapwhitecountertop, clgcheaptoiletseat, clgcheaptoiletbase, clgcheapstovewhite Phoenix_Phaerie http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=295417Modern Georgian Manor Set http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=188669Macarossi http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=44745The Pond in July Aubretia, Bog Arum, Mosaic Plant, Thalia Dealbata, Pagoda Rocks, Trillium, Cleome, Fritallaria, Border Lilies, Verbascum, The Saced Lotus October Decorative Plant set Lavatera, Lupins, Foxgloves, Garden Irises, Garden Primroses, Inge Jones Backless Shower Tub http://www.simlogical.com/dgandy Colonial Short Window http://www.simsfashionbarn.net/YaBB.plNumenor http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=4407 Recolourable Wooden Modular stairs Loverat for the Old Wood Lattice in white http://www.loverat.net/

|

All Maxi recolors. I made this before the Willaimsburg Federal Home but it fits the decor perfectly in my opinion. It is definitely a girly room.
The furniture is not actually white but whitewashed with a slightly aged look.
Base game objects are the Colonial Ironwood bed, Bed by St Anjoque Reproductions, Doublewide Tieback Curtains, Club distress coffee table, Luxiary King Armchair, bedding.
OFB for the Werkbunnst Medium Stonewood Dresser and Unbridled braids oval rug.
2 carpets and 3 walls included.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Patchwork Quilt Bedroom for Williamsburg Federal
|
on: August 19, 2007, 03:30:29 pm

This is one of the bedrooms I made for the Williamsburg Federal Home and my favorite. I based it on my grandmother's bedroom. She was born in 1901 and had a veneer bedroom set that was slightly shabby but to me was so beautiful. When I was a child she would let me set at the vanity and play with her bottles. Recolors of the Colonial Ironwood bed, the hold me closer dresser, the vanity, the luxiary chair, the curvaceous end table, the doublewide tie back curtains. Included are carpet, 1 wall paper and 1 paint wall.
The colonial Ironwood bed, Luxiary King armchair, Curvaceous Colonial End table and Doublewide Tieback curtains are all base game. You need University for the Cornerstone Vanity and OFB for the Hold Me Closer dresser.
My terms of use are simple. Do what ever you want. I create for fun. I would always prefer the recolors be kept free but no restrictions.

WIlliamsburg Federal $139,880.00 Unfurnished 5X6 Lot 5 Bedroom 6 Bath 2 Car Garage Garden Pool Pond I have all EP and Stuff Packs If you want the stairs show in the pictures you will need to upload from Reyn (link to her MTS2 homepage below) for them to work as you need to have the instructions and the text file. You will also need the scriptorium and recolourable wooden stairs (Reyn's stairs are linked to these) by numenor (link to his MTS2 homepage below) for them to work. I have always had a love hate relationship with the Federal house that was included in the game. I actually love the houses of the period but most of them were not square boxes. They usually were started off simply and added to until they had both character and the room needed to house a growing family. I found this lovely plan and proceeded to build it. The pictures of the interior show it furnished in my test house (I always play a house at least a few hours to iron out any bugs before correctiong the original and uploading). I have uploaded it unfurnished (except the baths) with neutral walls. I may upload some of my recolors in the next few days that I made for my home. Please pardon the pictures. I am just learning to take them. Sometimes I forget to turn off the silly squares. If no one has noticed on my previous homes, I love color. This is a small set consisting of a sofa, chair, coffee table, curtains, 3 walls and 2 floors. I'm not a fantastic recolorer yet. I'm still experimenting, but I liked the color combination.
