I need to point out that the instruction about how to use this with my Apartment Life fixes does not quite solve the matter.  As these two downloads stand they cannot be used together no matter what order you load them in, without losing some functionality of one or the other of them.

What I am going to do is make a small change in my TTAB to bring it into line with Squinges (it won't upset my fix), and when I have done that you will be able to make them work together by loading *mine* last.

I just wanted to say how MUCH EASIER the site is to navigate now!  I can find things! YAY!!!!

Features realtime chat box, discussion forums, and a forum where any code modder may upload his or her in-development mods for people to test them (perhaps prior to submission to MTS2 where you can only post fully tested and working downloads)

I am completely astounded by it.  I have always thought of the owners of TSR as polite, respectable people, whatever the community may think of the fact they run a Sims paysite.  I was really inclined to believe the recent statement on that basis, until I saw this.

I guess there is a line between "official policy" of a site and what a group of individual FAs get up to.  Though as a site admin I wouldn't pass on contact details of my registered users to any contributors on my site.  Registration details go no further than me (and fellow admins if I had any which I don't).  And I am sure Kathy and Eric don't hand over such details to Squinge, or Marvine etc.

So how did these FAs find out the stuff in order to share it in the first place?

ETA: OMG just read on further and yes it's the owner of TSR himself doing it.  So how does he manage to sit there typing up a blatant denial?  There are some very strange people about.

TSR have a statement up refuting that they use the information in this way.  Is there a way of proving it one way or the other?

If you have Apartment Life you can make a lot with a single apartment on it that is just like a normal house.  Be sure to enclose the back garden fully so it can only be accessed via the back door, otherwise you won't be able to put anything in the garden, or plant in it.

Otherwise renting doesn't work very well as the game charges the sims for moving in anyway, in code that is not accessible to modders.   You can use my mortgage shrubs to offset the house price, when you build it, so your residents would move in for free and start paying interest, which you could pretend was rent.

The sublot is actually deleted when the playable family moves out, and is then recreated from the baselot when another one moves in.  Only playables though, not social group tenants.   They don't have their own sublots.

The door hack does not work in hotels, but it won't stop hotel doors working as normal.

I like Windkeeper for doors and windows, and Sunair for hair meshes, because they do simple styles in all ages.  I have just been on a  huge hairmesh downloading spree
