Sims 2 Community Downloads / Male Hair / Miyavis new hair!

Ohh how i love his hair these days so i decided to make it, i didnt dare add the million different colours to it though so you'll have to make do with black or you can do it yourself, the alphas are a little full on though so good luck with that! This is for YA-Elder males and doesnt require ANY expansions, it moves a little funny and it has some gapping and some seethroughness but it's really nothing too bad in MY opinion, please dont complain about it to me because i will not be listening, also do not request this for teen children toddlers females or cats because after what i went through making this i will not be doing it again! Animations and some simpe issues fixed by Kavar and Marvine (thanks so much!) because the problems were totally beyond me! Yes that IS Plicka in the background of the main picture, the preevert refused to stop goosing and smooching her husband (ahem) for long enough for me to take pics!
rules:- recolour to your hearts content but leave the mesh here and in my post on modthesims, dont alter my mesh in any way but feel free to tinker with the alpha as much as you want, upload recolours or this hair texture to websites/exchange with credit, no paysites, no donations, thanks go to Wes for the milkshape plugin.

Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / way out of practice, please help!

oi I haven't done hair meshes but can relate to being out of practice. I will point Kavar to this thread and hopefully he can give you some advice. thank you Kathy it's so easy to get out of practice and it seems the longer you leave it the further you get left behind :/ Thank you so much for trying, i actually tried that before i made this thread, i searched for an answer everywhere that i possibly could and still nothing fixed my mesh, i might have to scrap it which would be a shame! hey plicka It sounds like your using the unimesh plug in on the newer version of milkshape, thing about this plug in is that on hair meshes, most of them if not all, you have to reassign all the vertices of the mesh as the dual assignments aren't lost in the importing anymore. Windkeeper found a way to make the hair assignments work with the animation and joints, but its temperamental with the orginal animated/dual assignments. I'm not sure what your using or what your working on but try reassiging the whole mesh and see if that fixes your problem... If you feel brave read windkeepers post on fixing the animation joints.. it worked like a charm for my untamed mesh and it could possibly fix your mesh if that is the problem.. but I've had some issues with the pixie mesh while using it myself. could just be me screwing it up http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=151722good luck and I hope you get it fixed:) thanks for trying Kavar, i supose it would have been smarter of me to mention what i am and arent using to make this, i always forget the important bits! I'm so out of practice and left behind that i'm still using old programs and methods, no unimesh here! i should be using it by the sounds of it though, people seem to be coming out with brilliant stuff with it! i guess i'm going to have to either scrap the mesh or just keep playing with it untill something magically works, funny how no matter how much better you get at it or how long you've been doing it you still run into so many difficulties and failures!

I finally have a new graphics card and am ready to mesh again, i started a new hair mesh today and all was going well until i got to the end, i'm so out of practice that i dont know what to do, as usual i get to the end when it comes to assigning joints, this is the part i've always stuffed up on but this time i have that stupid thing where the hair is stretched out in every direction in bodyshop, the more i try to fix it the more i stuff it up! some times the hair is completely gone too wahhhhhhhh! what do i do to fix that? i'm doing all this from memory and my memory is kinda so so sometimes lol
cheers! :violent2:

@Plicka: Cool work. I had dl the one, you made for this girl doin' all the Dir en grey Sims. Does this new mesh function with the recolors?
it SHOULD be fine with the old recolours, it still has the exact same name, well it's the exact same mesh just tinkered with! Ta spade poker, i'm glad you rushed here, i was starting to think my little message on the original would go unnoticed forever lol thanks everyone else!

thanks guys! <3 i cant take credit for fixing it, it was actually tabooo ( http://shinysims.x-y.net/) that fixed it, she just messaged me one day and sent it and then dissappeared lol, i would never have been able to fix that because i just dont know enough about simpe, it was something wrong with the maxis mesh, my moving bits just made it show! And yeah we melbournians/Australians DO seem to be growing in numbers Amun-Ra, cool huh!

Ok lets hope i do this right! this is an oldie but a goodie of mine that no longer has the original seethrough problems that it used to (thanks to a kind MTS2 user who fixed something in simpe), if you have the original version of this that i did on mod the sims this will just replace the mesh!
This is for YA-Elder males and was made especially for my Miyavi sim!
hope you enjoy! I'll slowly be filling up my space here with old and new work, it'll just take some time, i'm on dial up and i'm having computer problems (which should be fixed soon) so have patience!
MY RULES- recolour as much as you like and post recolours where ever you like, but dont re post my mesh ANYWHERE, please leave my meshes where you find them! links to my mesh will do. Use credit where neccessary, No paysites! I have nothing against the exchange but you should always credit the original creator. Thanks!
