Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / restart neighborhood

Yes, what you should do is locate the original neighbourhood data which you should be able to find on your PC - it's located on your C-Drive, or whatever your main drive is, at this location: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Seasons\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods
You should find the G001 Neighbourhood in there, which contains Riverblossom Hills in its pristine state. Copy that folder into My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods, making sure that you delete the trashed version of Riverblossom Hills first.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / prima guide???
|

Yes, you'll need to get the guides direct from Prima Games if you can't track one down in the stores. You can either order hard-copy versions of guides from them, or download PDF versions of the guides if waiting for hard-copy versions is too much of a hassle for you. Either way, they cost money, and getting a PDF version is cheaper obviously. I had trouble tracking down the Bon Voyage guide, so eventually my lack of patience got the better of me and I downloaded the PDF version, which costs about $15 in US currency, if I remember correctly. If ordering stuff isn't an option, then you might be lucky to find guide snippets and relevant info posted here and there at different sites.

Wow, what a blow to the head this is, on top of the SecuROM fiasco at that! Now, while I do have BV installed and am yet to experience any issues, this is certainly making me consider uninstalling...And here I was, thinking that EA games had cleaned up their act after the Pets EP BodyShop backwards-compatability disaster...

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / How much of your Downloads folder do you actually use?
|
on: October 19, 2007, 03:04:04 am

Let's see...I have over 4GB of content, with approximately 20000 files, and about three-quarters of it is Bodyshop stuff. I like to heavily modify my sims in an attempt to make them look decent, so yeah, that explains the vast amount of BS content! Mind you, I do have a lot of hair recolours which I almost never use, but whenever I spawn townies, there's a significant chance they'll end up with a custom hairstyle, which is why I'm a bit reluctant to delete them. Not that it would harm the game anyway...

Aussieburn, did you have a picture originally? I'd like to be able to see it... Hope you do share some shots with us again! Yeah, he did have some pictures uploaded originally...before somebody decided to make a smarmy rude-ass comment... Nyx, that nameless vampire is very sultry-looking indeed!

Wonderful! He's an intense-looking character indeed - I like the way you've modelled his face!
BTW, I'm pretty sure the lipstick is a Liegenschonheit creation too.

Well, they're just about on the same level, and Villain at least apologized afterwards. But seriously, if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all, period. Each person has his/her own tastes and shouldn't be dumped on because of it.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Food Thief

Christ, I hate it when that happens. My sims don't take too kindly to this shit happening to them, so they'll always pick a fight with the offender afterwards. But why that happens is something I'm dying to find out...
