ive just got a new pc and avent played sims 2 for ages! What are the best things, aprat from insim that i should be downloading?

when i play my game it all works but when i try to draw a wall it wont work, the icon doesnt show up?

i have just installed the sims 2 only and when i play th game everything is fine but the build mode doesnt it opens but you cnt click anything
