16  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / WCIF:Info on extracting "made up" sims faces? on: April 12, 2007, 04:33:05 am
And then using those faces to convert into full costume makeup? And I'm talking about the faces that start off as their base self, and then people/Maxis has made them up. I know how to "convert" the base faces of sims into masks. I thought about using SimPE to find and extract the forementioned files. Also, to make sure the faces stay the way they are, how do I go about creating a .package file specifically for that face for use in Bodyshop? I've been using the same base .package file for all my full masks in Bodyshop, so any masks I make tend to take on some attributes of the original mask that the package file was made for.Lost yet? Ok, when I convert a face to a mask, I go into BS and export my default full mask base.I then copy the intended face and rename it to what the default mask file name is, thus replacing the default base file, but the xxxx.package file stays the same, and has info on the orginal mask, so the "new" mask gets blended, so to speak.So, I hope someone can help.......
17  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Ok, how do I mod "transparent" sims and the like? on: February 09, 2007, 01:38:13 am
See, I want to be able to have a sim, such as the ones found at Simslice, MTS2, that are headless, invisible, or transparent, and have it's teeth and eyes show correctly, and not be see thru themselves, so I could then apply one of my full facemask makeups, and have that work correctly as well, and not be see thru either. Basically, I want to make a few sims that are closer, so to speak, to invisible characters that have been featured in movies and such.Granted, in those, the person is completely invisible until they either apply makeup all over, or wrap themselves in whatever,but with an invisi-sim, I need the eyes and teeth to show right first off, then have the facemask show right. So, can anybody help me?
18  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Skintones / "V" tv inspired Female Alien skintone, with disguises to boot! on: February 06, 2007, 09:49:08 pm
(For those that aren't familar, I mean the old sci-fi series about reptilian aliens invading Earth, and not a refernce to an obscure,non existent V for Vendetta series,lol)

Partialy inspired by the tv movies and series "V", I decided to recolor the three adult female bodyshapes in the Maxis default 1 color, aka the lightest color, to a dark green. I know the face is not physically accurate like the reptilian aliens depicted in "V", but if I went that route, then it would throw off the roundness of the full face makeup facemask enclosed with this sim that enables her to disguise her true self,and look more like normal sims.She does have black with yellow slitted eyes though,lol. To complete the disguise part, I also slightly recolored a full outfit from the base game for Everyday, Undies, Swimwear, PJ's, Formal, and Athleticwear. And I mean recolored slightly as in the exposed areas on each of the outfits, so that the exposed "skin" looks like the default 1 skintone, thus essnetially becoming a full fleshy bodysuit. If enough people like this sim, I'll do the same for the other age groups of women and men as well. Right now, you only get the adult female this way. If you like my BS Clothing series (Bodysuit) and like to use it on a sim of your own, feel free. I don't think I deserve credit for doing a simple partial recolor on a few outfits; just don't go around telling everyone else that you recolored these few outfits I have,ok,lol? For now, you need and get all this for this one sim:

1) Green alien skin-Adult female in cut, normal, and soft bodyshapes, replete with two fangs for teeth.
2) Black with yellow slitted reptilian eyes
3) Full face mask makeup (ear to ear,forehead to chin) in the default Maxis 1 color
4) Five base game outfits, with exposed skin areas recolored in the Maxis 1 default tone, for Everyday, Undies, Swimwear, PJ's,Formal, and Athleticwear.

For your personal game, for the outfits, make a folder and name it "BS Clothing" in your downloads folder, and extract my partial recolors there. That way, should more BS Clothing recolors come down the line, you can extract them there as well.

Credit of thank you goes to Warlokk on telling me the finer points of recoloring outfits so the bas skin color doesn't bleed thru.:smile:

So, if you really like this sim, let me know, and I'l make more in the male skins, and finish off the female skins as well, ok?
19  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Skintones / Recolored Maxis Normal default for female servos...round 1 on: January 29, 2007, 07:14:57 pm
Tired of using skins that change your female servos , via certain hacks,to look more simmy? Do you want your female servos to not look too simmy while also not looking too servo, while at home? Do you also want a good facepaint facemask to use on your servo when you take her to a community lot, or send her to her job?Then this first recolored maxis default skin is for you then, replete with a facepaint that covers the grey face ear to ear, and forehead to chin underside with the maxis normal default color. I plan on recoloring the three remaining maxis defaults the same way soon as well. This skin has normal colored lower arms, legs, and upper chest/back and neck area, but grey everywhere else, as well as yellow and black eyes, which the facemask covers with normal eyes when you send out your favorite female servo this way. Granted, there are certain outfits that won't cover all the grey areas, but there are others that will. To properly use this first skin by me, follow the directions below, which are also included in the download:

1) Create a regular female adult sim in CAS. Remove eyebrows, hair,makeup before choosing ServoNormal skin.

2)Apply ServoEyesAll for the eyes.

3)Apply ServoNormalMask in the makeup area under facepaint.

4)Name the sim " ServoNormal Female ", and choose whatever sign, aspiration, etc.

5)Save sim, and go to neighborhood.

6)Place forementioned sim into a basic small residential lot that you'll never
actually play. Name the lot "Servo Pool", and place the sim there. Save the lot/sim
and exit back to the neighborhood.

7)Pick a female servo that you wish to "change" using any hacks that allow you to copy
another sims appearnce onto the targeted female servo.

8)Look for "ServoNormal Female" and then copy the skin to your targeted female servo.

9)Voila! Now, your female servo looks not to simmy nor too servo at home, but when you take her out on the town, or send her to a job, etc, you can apply her  ServoNormalMask and whatever hair and clothes to help her "blend in". LOL.....

Like I said, I plan on recoloring the other 3 Maxis default skins the same way as well, so be on the lookout.
20  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Hacked Item Collection Icons for the finicky or "lost" player on: January 25, 2007, 04:09:41 am
If you're either particular about having your hacked buy mode objects in their own collections folder, or you get "lost" while playing, and have to ask someone where a specific hacked item is, like my "cough, ahem, cough" wife does (love ya Tonya), then these icons will be a benefit. They are made to work with all EP's, though if you have Pets or NL installed, there's two extra icons you might want to use. The icon legend, which is included in the download, is as follows:

CH = Community Hacks
CV = Custom Vehicles
HA = Hacked Appliances
HD = Hacked Decor
HE = Hacked Electronics
HF = Hacked Furniture
HM = Hacked Miscilaneous
PH = Pet Hacks

Each icon has the initials on it, as listed above. So, just download, unzip/unrar, and place the icons into:
My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Collections/Icons

Then fire up your game and start placing whatever hacked objects you have into the appropriate folder. Trust me, you'll thank me the first time, if you're like me, when a "lost" player doesn't ask you where such and such hacked item is,lol.
21  Retired Creators / BodyShape Requests / Classic Fembot skins for Squinge's change servo appearance on: June 14, 2006, 12:14:15 pm
Hey Warlokk.......Just wondering if you could do 2 modified basic skins,based of the classic fembots from the Bionic Woman TV show, where one skin has the "facemask" off with wires showing around the eyes and teeth,and the other skin would have small damage areas with wires showing here and there. Also, I have a question for you regarding the first skin request,the "faceless" skin: Is it even remotely possible to create a full facepaint mask that looks like a regular female sim face,without having the colors and such of the actual sims face showing or bleeding thru the mask? See, if you can create these 2 skins for me,it would be even better if Bodyshop allowed you to create a facepain facemask to cover the wires and stuff,like in the old episodes of the Bionic Woman. Let me know............

Thanks
