My houses take a good 5 minutes, inside and out. I build them for playability, not looks. Gorgeous houses, in my opinion, simply don't play well. Sims are too dumb to live in houses that nice. So, my sims get the square box treatment, and I never have to watch them throw a fit because someone else is on their stairs.

For me, custom content-- maxi's stuff is SO ugly I wouldn't be able to bear playing with it!

Well, if my sims' behaviour is any clue, I would put my dishes on the floor instead of washing them, take 30 minutes to pee, scream at an invisible god when I was bored or hungry, spin around and magically get children, and whine every time I had to exercise or study. Wait! except for the spinning child thing, that's my life )
