77  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Wanna dance? on: September 16, 2007, 12:26:53 pm
I think I just haven't recognized how to do it, but I can't figure out how to learn the local dances! Maybe 'dance' is the better word, because my sim wants to learn to hula and I haven't figured out who to do it. In the game, it says to just click on a local who is doing the dance and then ask them to teach you. But I don't get that option. Can anyone help me? Please...

78  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Can Bigfoot Be more then Just A Family Member? on: September 15, 2007, 11:41:26 pm
It states specifically in the book that Bigfoot cannot do romantic interactions. However, he can have and job and he actually should have all skills and badges. I think I want him to join a family just so he can be the breadwinner!

79  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / ITS NOT WORTH IT! on: September 15, 2007, 11:38:48 pm
Let me be clear first that I have no idea about the problems modders, creators, and such have. If you were to show me a line of code all I could say is "Gee, that's nice." So, honestly, I do admire that YOU can see and understand all that. Really. However, the average player who can't see the problems you do, like me, who gets this expansion, removes all mods and has it work for them just fine, can be very happy with it. We'll all be very grateful for the changes and mods you make but we really cannot concieve of your frustrations. As far as we know, the game is fine and wonderful. Personally, I prefer to keep that feeling about the game, otherwise I would have quit playing it long ago.

I have to say some people are being very harsh. I don't think I post very often but there's a thread for people who have no problems, and guess what? I posted there. Which means I had no problems with my game. The fact that there is a thread for having no problems is an indication that for many there are no problems to be had. Just do what you're always warned to do and take out all mods and hacks. AND QUIT WHINING ABOUT IT!!!

81  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What do YOU think of BV? on: September 14, 2007, 04:27:21 pm
I love this expansion! I just recieved it in the mail two days ago though I was only able to play for a couple hours yesterday, but I already love it to death. I think the beaches are fun (I'd stopped downloading houses with "beaches" on them because I started getting too many terrain paints that were useless to me) and my sim loves making sandcastles. Honestly, what I like most is the updated attactions and such like that, I always felt it was silly that they didn't update with each expansion. And I can't wait until people start updating their jewelry to work on the new jewelry in game instead of under glasses.

I did have a bit of a misstep where I hadn't taken out my hacks. My sim couldn't walk to a lot, the lot pulled up and time passed but he continued to "arrive" without actually arriving. Since I went through and got updated mods before installing the game but didn't pay attention to which were updated and which weren't, I'm going to have to try them one at a time or look each up and see if they were updated. Again. But it's a small price to pay for my own stupidity.

Anyway, I completely give BV a thumbs up.

OH, I like this! I wondered how the BonVoyage would affect other neighborhoods, or districts, whatever. So a bed and such now works on a downtown/shopping lot? I gotta try this!
Thanks much!

86  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / collection rack magical effects? on: September 11, 2007, 03:10:02 pm
That's kinda cool, I love the little side bennies of some ingame objects. What about combinations? 3shell and 2voodoo dolls, for example.

Well, that's different. I just got my game (haven't been able to play yet) so any and all info like that would be really cool to know.

It's just too cool! I mean, seriously! What could be cooler than THAT? I'm picturing a whole wall of BRAINS... Daniel Pleasant... Mortimer Goth... you get the idea, a large variety. They need to be studied. This isn't evil, it's science!

OMG! I can't wait! I've already started on my lab. It's going to be so much better than before. And my... curious sim... well, you know the saying, I'm sure. He looks just like everyone else.

OH! In honor of Bon Voyage, maybe he'll have a vacation house and kidnap annoying tourists as they bother him...  He's going to need someplace to stash the bodies soon. I need to be home NOW so I can finish putting it together. The last three hours of work is going to be pure torture!!! Aaaahhh!

It's so perfect! It will fit so wonderfully! I already have a place for it and I've got my victims made and ready for... um... The patients have been created and are currently holding in the bin for when their, uh, rooms will be ready for them. Assorted feline and canine subjects have also been created for... therapeutic purposes.

Yeah! I'm so freakin' hyped it ain't funny! You are the total best! I mean, you have to know that by now, but it needed to be said again.

I'm going to stop now before I get out of hand... like usual.
