31  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Weird door problem on: December 27, 2007, 01:36:53 pm
Unfortunately, the fix didn't fix the problem. Sad Thanks for giving it though!
I'm pretty sure it's acutally my hacks, so I'm going to have to go through all of them. Wish me luck Smiley
It's so weird, that sim's son (a kid at the moment) can walk through door just fine.
32  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Weird door problem on: December 24, 2007, 11:09:45 am
Okay, I have a weird problem.
My sim can't walk through doors. I mean, the door is open, but she can't walk into the next room. Her visitors, however, don't seem to have any problems with it.
My sims just stands in the door opening, yelling that she can't get through.
This goes for all the doors in her house, even the door to the greenhouse.
For example, here she's trying to get into the bathroom:

I have NL, OFB, Seasons, BV and Teen Style Stuff installed.
I do have some hacks, but none of them have anything to do with doors, as far as I know.
I'll try to restart my game without the hacks later though, I just don't have time for it at the moment.
But, assuming it's not my CC causing this, what could be the problem?
Could anyone help me?
If there's more info you'd need, just say so!

P.S. I couldn't find a thread about this kind of problem, but if there already is one, please give me a link.
33  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / maxis content corrupted? on: December 24, 2007, 10:56:43 am
Are there any scratches on your nightlife disc?
34  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Wardrobes not working? on: December 15, 2007, 07:07:56 am
Do you have any hacks that may have something to do with clothes/wardrobes?
Just to test if it's a Custom Content problem or not, move your downloads folder to a different place on your computer, then start the game. So now you'll have a game without ANY CC in it. If you still have the problem, it's your game, and if the problem's solved, it's the CC you've downloaded.
35  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Can't delete? on: December 13, 2007, 12:49:46 pm
Ah, okay! EAxis messing up again huh?
I was starting to think that, after removing my hacks and getting the same result.
Sometimes, they just make me want to :chainsaw:
Thanks for clearing it up, Megativity! :worship:
36  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Can't delete? on: December 13, 2007, 10:00:27 am
I have a strange bug in my game, I think.
In CAS, you can click on CC clothes, make-up, glasses, etc. and delete them, right? Get the little bin symbol and delete them CC from your game.
Only, for me, for some CC things, that bin doesn't show up. So I can't delete those items. For example, I can't delete make-up or CC eyes, but face paint can be deleted.
Does anyone know why that bin doesn't show up?

It's regular CC by the way, not EAxis-made. Just from this site, modthesims2, and others.
I currently have NL, OFB, seasons and BV installed, and have quite a number of hacks. Haven't tried if it would work without the hacks, I will when I have some time.
But, assuming it's NOT any of my hacks, since non of them have anything to do with CAS, could anyone help me? There are some CC make-up things I'd like to get rid of, since I never use them.

If there's more info you'd need, just say so.
37  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / HELP! on: December 08, 2007, 04:17:53 am
The only thing I know that lists them is on sims2 wiki: the unlocking codes for all those things. So: WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!
http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Pets_Unlock_Codes
It lists all the things you can unlock, with the codes to unlock them. But there aren't any pictures to go with it.
38  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / First Free Time information on: December 07, 2007, 09:40:37 am
I'm really NOT exited about this.
I mean, it's just so uninspired.
Besides, I'm boycotting EAxis because of the whole SecuROM thing. NO WAY am I going to stop my boycott for this...
39  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Is anybody using Q-Xpress Installer? on: November 10, 2007, 03:07:49 am
I used to use it, but then I got that same error message, so now I just use the regular downloading methods.
I use XP, so it's not a Vista thing either.
40  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / SIMS 2 HEAVEN what happened? on: November 09, 2007, 03:59:29 pm

my only cmplaint about sims2heaven is it is so unbearably slow loading because of the massive javascripting files.  I have a super-fast broadband connection and sometimes it takes upwards of 5 minutes to load the page.

Same here. But I do love a lot of their CC, so it's often worth the wait! Cheesy
41  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / should the following thread be sent to ea/maxi developpers of the sims3 on: November 08, 2007, 01:14:43 pm
Quote from: bear5000;1023598
frankly I don't want a sims 3, I'm tired of all the bugs with the sims 2 so much so that I probably won't be buying anymore packs, it's getting really old.

Completely agree.
Besides, it's not like they'll listen... Sad
42  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Consumer alert! A general review of the products of GedonSoft GmbH. on: November 08, 2007, 01:11:56 pm
Wow, 19 Euro's! The Stuff Packs don't even cost that much!
Though, as one of the people on those German boards pointed out, you do get a lot of fun for it, it seems Tongue

I use Firefox, and I do have a scrollbar. On the side, where it's supposed to be.
No scroll bar inside the frames on the site though, if that was what you were talking about?
But the regular scroll bar that is there for most sites, is there for me.

Thanks! Very pretty dress! Cheesy
45  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / smaller beach lots on: October 16, 2007, 02:04:46 am
Yeah. I've always preferred smaller lots, because the large lots run slow in my game. And I love the beach lots, but barely ever play them because they're so slow.
If there were smaller beach lots, my sims would spend a much longer time on the beach! Tongue
