maybe parts of the game seems to be rushed? and the other annoying thing is that you are forced to play one family when you start. in sims 1 and 2, you could play any house in the neighborhood (and in no order). so you could start in sims 2 for example with Don first, then the pleasants. with free play, i could have it where i could do a story where over time, Bella and Mortimer would end up hating each other by playing both houses. kind of makes me wonder if they learned their lessons from SCS and Spore.
I haven't found the Lothario household yet, but I did see the Newbies and the Brokes. Funny scenerio there.
Don is in Riverview. there must be some sort of time travel involved, which could result in a new sim timeline, since Don came from 50 years into the future.
It said my comp couldn't run the Kitchen and Bath stuff but my computer when I installed it and played the game did just fine so I don't think it's entirely accurate.
in my case, i did the test on a machene running Windows 7 RC (build 7100) and it told me it failed. and Windows 7 is the next version of Windows (after Vista). they will have to update their datalists before windows 7(retail) come out in the fall.
me too. i would love to run it on my 2.4 Dual-Core i-Mac, and have a Securom free Version of the Sims3 (even if i have to wait 3 Months after the Windows Version.)
Myself, i got a new computer, but i might wait and see if a version without Securom comes out for OSX. if the Mac version doesn't have Securom, then i will support the Mac Version, even if i have to wait 6 months for expansion packs.
from some of what i read on page 1-2, it could be bad if the requirement forces players to upgrade to a Crappy OS (Vista) to play the game. if i had to play Sims 3, i would buy a mac and wait for a mac version of Sims 3 rather than upgrade a machine to Vista. (or wait until Windows 7).
1) no Securom. better yet no DRM. 2) create a couple of new age stages. 3) import sims from sims 2 to sims 3. (or have it unlockable in the new neighborhood)
i am back to 300 mb. (a clean install of Vista after xp decided to play games with me). but i am slow to play on account that i had to fall back to the crappy onboard graphics until i get a vista ready video card.
in the sims 1, my favorite method was "the Guinea Pig Of Death" or lighting a firework inside a house (which how i got rid of Motimer Goth lots of times in sims 1). in the Sims 2, i place a grill inside a house and have the sim (either Mortimer Goth or Dustin Broke) light it on fire and watch them die. and thre is the famous cowplant (usefull for elimating townies, or getting townies to move in with help of the "Grim reaper phone")
