1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Re: Sharper Images Inspired Alarm Clock *Can't get thumb, but it's well worth a look on: February 06, 2010, 08:42:36 am
Nice job. I can't believe that nobody else felt it worthwhile to say so.

Nice job. I'll be dragging off to my InsimAdult-stocked rooms for some wickedness.  Rock
3  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Self-Sims / Deadgirl6's Self-Sim on: November 20, 2008, 11:31:11 pm
This is a self-sim requested by Deadgirl6 HERE.

Hopefully I did some justice to her natural beauty.

Included are a custom skintone that features her tattoos and custom eyeliner.
Additional custom content can be found in the file contents image.

Also, you'll need Warlokk's Classic Pinup meshes to make this skintone work.
You can find them HERE.

***UPDATE*** Sim now features fugly Maxis hair. If you want the pictured hair, you have to go to raonsims to get it (just be sure you don't upload it with anything).
4  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Official SkeleBear Teddy Bear on: November 09, 2008, 11:07:36 am
I'm glad to see that the little guy is getting such love!

I neglected to mention in the initial post (soon to be fixed) that this download also features a "worn" version of the plush teddy just as the Maxis bear has.

Thanks Everyone!

I'm glad you're enjoying it. It was actually just an experiment I was doing, goofing around, and it came out better than I anticipated, so I decided to share it.

Ali, the real ones can be found HERE, though I think you're probably going to have to locate a dealer online or near you for it.

I have one sitting in front of my monitor, and he guards my computer.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations!

There is only one "Official SkeleBear Teddy Bear," and it can be yours for just $49!

Entertain your little ones with this devilishly cute plush toy from SkeleBear Creations.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention when I first wrote this that it also includes the "worn" version for when the bear gets a little too much love and starts taking a beating.

Nice looking Sim you've created.

Just as a little note: Even though you've shown respect to the creators by not uploading their custom content, you can still provide specific details as to what they are (like a hair # or cosmetic name) and links to where they can be acquired. This allows the community to identify the items you used in creating the sim, and also affords the creators the opportunity to gain more donations for their work.

Thanks for sharing your creation.

Awesome job, Jenna.
9  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Graphics Card Question on: October 16, 2008, 11:24:35 pm

All depends on what your PSU capabilities are ,, but would suggest you get better than the GF8500, go for something like GF8800gt 512 or 9800GT but your PSU will have to be capable of running these cards minimum of 500W and 18Amps per 12volt Rails on PSU and have the PCI-E 6-8pin power connector for the PCI-E Graphics cards,

If your PSU is not up to par for them it may well be ok for a GF8600GT512mb, as HP dont have very good PSU.s in there systems.

I just upgraded the power unit from the stock 150-watt to a 575-watt unit, so I'm not too worried about power demands. The new power supply is set-up for PCI cards and SLI as well.

Thanks for the tips. Now I just have to see if your recommended cards are within my budget.
10  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Graphics Card Question on: October 16, 2008, 09:05:47 pm
I have a HP Pavilion 6300 Series with 4GB RAM, AMD Athlon Dual-Core 2.6GHz Processor and onboard NVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 on a 32-bit system.

I have all the EP's & SP's except for IKEA Stuff.

I'd like to improve my graphics, as they are little choppy and hesitant. Considering that I have a PCI-Express x16 slot to work with, I'm looking at a NVidia 8500 GT graphics card with 512mb of onboard RAM. Does anyone else have this that could tell me how good of a card it is or would anyone care to recommend a card based on my specs?

Any and all help is appreciated.
11  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Linking Meshes from Teen to Adult on: April 26, 2008, 06:57:49 am
Is there a tutorial somewhere which explains how to link two otherwise-unrelated meshes together from one age to the next?

Example:
I'd like to be able to create a skintone that would link Warlokk's Teen-D-Cup Mesh with Warlokk's (Adult) Classic Pinup Mesh or one of his Adult D-Cup Meshes (I realize this may have already been done once or twice). What I'm looking to do is be able to select a skintone that will ultimately result in a more realistic and natural growth of the Sim, basically so that I don't have flat-chested teens sprouting into juggy adults :happy8:

Any help is appreciated.
12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How Do You Package In-Game Sims For Sharing? on: April 23, 2008, 08:20:16 pm

So, once a sim is posted, how do you bring them into your own game? Or would it just be a matter of putting the extracted .rar contents intot he SavedSims folder?

Sorry if this has been covered Smiley

If a Sim has been "packaged," which is what i was seeking a tutorial for, then you need only have the Sims2Pack Clean Installer and a program (such as 7-Zip or WinRAR) to install the Sims into your game. You can then find them in Bodyshop or Create-A-Sim.

Thank you VERY MUCH MissDoh (and Pierre for trying).

You have NO IDEA how many headaches you've saved me. :smt120
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How Do You Package In-Game Sims For Sharing? on: April 23, 2008, 08:38:11 am
I've been looking everywhere with what little time I have, and I can't find a tutorial or explanation for how to package in-game sims for sharing with others. I'm talking about sims that I created with Create-A-Sim, not Bodyshop.

I have all EP's up to and including Bon Voyage, if that makes a difference.
I also have the latest version of SimPE and the Sims2Pack Clean Installer.
I thought there was a way to do this with SimPE, but I couldn't figure it out.

ANY help, even if it's just to point me to a tutorial, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.
