1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Self-Sims / Deadgirl6's Self-Sim on: November 20, 2008, 11:31:11 pm
This is a self-sim requested by Deadgirl6 HERE.

Hopefully I did some justice to her natural beauty.

Included are a custom skintone that features her tattoos and custom eyeliner.
Additional custom content can be found in the file contents image.

Also, you'll need Warlokk's Classic Pinup meshes to make this skintone work.
You can find them HERE.

***UPDATE*** Sim now features fugly Maxis hair. If you want the pictured hair, you have to go to raonsims to get it (just be sure you don't upload it with anything).
2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Official SkeleBear Teddy Bear on: November 02, 2008, 12:02:43 am
Don't be fooled by cheap imitations!

There is only one "Official SkeleBear Teddy Bear," and it can be yours for just $49!

Entertain your little ones with this devilishly cute plush toy from SkeleBear Creations.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention when I first wrote this that it also includes the "worn" version for when the bear gets a little too much love and starts taking a beating.
3  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Graphics Card Question on: October 16, 2008, 09:05:47 pm
I have a HP Pavilion 6300 Series with 4GB RAM, AMD Athlon Dual-Core 2.6GHz Processor and onboard NVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 on a 32-bit system.

I have all the EP's & SP's except for IKEA Stuff.

I'd like to improve my graphics, as they are little choppy and hesitant. Considering that I have a PCI-Express x16 slot to work with, I'm looking at a NVidia 8500 GT graphics card with 512mb of onboard RAM. Does anyone else have this that could tell me how good of a card it is or would anyone care to recommend a card based on my specs?

Any and all help is appreciated.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Linking Meshes from Teen to Adult on: April 26, 2008, 06:57:49 am
Is there a tutorial somewhere which explains how to link two otherwise-unrelated meshes together from one age to the next?

Example:
I'd like to be able to create a skintone that would link Warlokk's Teen-D-Cup Mesh with Warlokk's (Adult) Classic Pinup Mesh or one of his Adult D-Cup Meshes (I realize this may have already been done once or twice). What I'm looking to do is be able to select a skintone that will ultimately result in a more realistic and natural growth of the Sim, basically so that I don't have flat-chested teens sprouting into juggy adults :happy8:

Any help is appreciated.
5  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How Do You Package In-Game Sims For Sharing? on: April 23, 2008, 08:38:11 am
I've been looking everywhere with what little time I have, and I can't find a tutorial or explanation for how to package in-game sims for sharing with others. I'm talking about sims that I created with Create-A-Sim, not Bodyshop.

I have all EP's up to and including Bon Voyage, if that makes a difference.
I also have the latest version of SimPE and the Sims2Pack Clean Installer.
I thought there was a way to do this with SimPE, but I couldn't figure it out.

ANY help, even if it's just to point me to a tutorial, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / How much of your Downloads folder do you actually use? on: October 18, 2007, 11:38:07 pm
I was just curious as to how much of the material in your "Downloads" folder you actually use 'in game.'

Naturally there is no precise way to know, but in your best estimate, how much of the stuff in your folder is actually used in your game?

Also, how big is your "Downloads" folder, either in files or memory size?

My "Downloads" folder is 2.85GB, 5232 files, and I would guess I actually use about 10% of it, if that.
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Graphics Card Question on: September 05, 2007, 12:00:57 pm
I'm usually preferential to Radeon cards, but my current PC (which is a slightly older HP a1220n) is having some serious issues with installing my Radeon 9250. I figured to try a different card altogether, and I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with the card, and has any opinions.

The card is a:

Visiontek Radeon 7000 / 64MB DDR / PCI / DVI / VGA / TV Out / Low Profile / Video Card.

Also, if anyone has some success stories to share in regards to nVidia cards, I'd like to hear them.

My system is currently running a 2.93GHz Intel processor, 512Mb RAM, 200GB hard drive. I can't even install the Sims 2 or any of it's expansions until I get another card to put in.

Thanks
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / A Peculiar Incident Over The Weekend on: April 17, 2007, 09:44:21 pm
This is going to sound very odd, and, from my perspective, it is very odd.

Saturday night I was playing my Sims 2 game. Everything was working fine; no issues, glitches, blue screens, hang-ups, nothing. The game, and computer itself, were behaving properly.

Sunday morning I boot my computer up, and the monitor is telling me it's not getting a signal and going into 'sleep mode.' I check the cable, figure it's a glitch, and try again. And again. And again. And again twelve more times (yes, I am that persistant).

Convinced that my graphics card, my precious little Radeon X550, has expired at the young age of EIGHTEEN DAYS, I remove the card and reconnect my monitor cable to the onboard graphics and, Voila!, I have a functional monitor again. True, the onboard nVidia graphics suck and will not run the Sims 2 without more delays and hesitations than a stutterer operating a jackhammer, but at least my computer is usable for other things.

After a quick review of the receipt from my EIGHTEEN DAY OLD graphics card, I discover that the store will only accept returns within FOURTEEN days of purchase (which, of course, I suspect is a conspiracy to sell graphics adapters with an eighteen day survival rate). That leaves me to try to deal with the manufacturer's warranty, which has all the appeal of removing a rectal pimple with a chainsaw. By my estimation, if I follow through with the warranty service, I should actually have a working graphics card back from the manufacturer just in time for the Sims 4 to be released.

While I'm cursing my misfortune at having my graphics card die, the store warranty having been expired, and the manufacturer's warranty looking about as promising as the Green Party's chances of winning a Presidential election, my wife's computer, which is also experiencing problems with the Sims 2 game, and after an hour or so of playing, the computer crashes and cites a "graphics adapter failure" as the reason. Of course, I completely fail to recognize that her graphics problems occur at virtually the same time as mine, because I couldn't possibly begin to imagine what could happen to two separate computers that would affect both of their graphics adapters.

After reviewing all that I would have to do to get my graphics card repaired or replaced under manufacturer warranty, and also noticing that a few background applications that I had disabled had suddenly enabled themselves again, I decide that it's possible that maybe, just maybe, it was a software problem, and I reinstall my precious little Radeon X550 and reinstall the Catalyst software and Voila!, it's working like it did before it didn't. Somehow, and I have absolutely no idea how, something changed the settings on my computer back to a 'Restore Point' (which I am absolutely POSITIVE I did NOT do).

I'm not complaining, because I'm pretty damn happy that my graphics card is working again without me having to file a dozen 'trouble tickets' in triplicate.

Finally, my brain starts to put two and two together, and after I came up with seven, my wife advised me that two and two actually add up to four and then asked if it was possible that what happened to my computer graphics could also be the problem with her computer graphics. Lo and behold, after reinstalling her monitor driver and updating her chipset drivers again, Voila!, she is no longer having graphics card failures.

Now I have to ask: what are the chances of two separate computers being kicked back to a restore point at the same time and with neither computer being directed to do so?

Has anyone else had this problem?
9  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / SimPE 0.60b and body meshing on: April 09, 2007, 02:12:25 pm
Either I'm doing something very wrong (which is always a possibility) or I just haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

Is there a tutorial ANYWHERE that explains how to extract a body mesh using the newer SimPE 0.60b? I've found a dozen tutorials for extracting the meshes, and all the tutorials seem to be referencing the 'older interface' of SimPE. I can't seem to open the Property Set to extract the individual parts (gmnd, cres, shpe, and gmdc files).

Am I doing something wrong here?

Help?

Please?

Anyone?
10  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Skintones / Light Skintone with Tattoo as requested by Simphreak on: March 29, 2007, 06:49:14 pm
This is a light skintone for the default teen and young adult/adult female, as requested by Simphreak2.0 HERE.

I may revisit this request and make another skintone of this for Warlokk's Fashion Model mesh as well.

Puppies born in Pets won't age.

Anyone else with this problem?

Anyone know what might be causing it?
13  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misses / More Risque Bikinis for Warlokk's Teen D Large Mesh on: July 06, 2006, 11:21:40 pm
I've been at it again. Insomnia will do this to a person.

Anyways, I'll ask you all to be patient because my primary photo-editting program is seriously glitched and unusable, so I'm learning PhotoShop as I continue to try to be creative. This is just a warning that you may see some strange things coming from me for a while

I've been playing with the alpha's again, and the end result was a cross-type bikini top for Warlokk's Teen D-Cup Large mesh, which you can get HERE.

And, as always, when dressing young ladies in less fabric than it takes to cover a baseball, it's always wise to have the InTeenimator.

Enjoy!

Finally, Rogue777 can have her revenge for all of my teasing and taunts and the evils I've inflicted upon her Sim in my game.

Here is ME! (insert manly strut here).

If you're looking for authenticity, then you'd probably like a little more information.
Sign: Scorpio
Aspiration: Fortune
Turn-On's: Lingerie and Perfume
Turn-Off's: Vampirism

I opted for a default body, though I am a bit bulkier than that, I'm not put together well enough to rate one of beosboxboy's muscle-bound meshes. Maybe a year from now, but not this week.

Make sure I have a computer, because I practically live on this one. Some dirty pictures of nekkid babes wouldn't break my heart either. Oh, yeah, you might want to keep me out of the kitchen, because I hate cooking and I'm not very good at it. (That's women's work! Rogue will get me for that one, I'm sure)

So, enjoy!

And, Rogue? - Be gentle.
15  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misses / Risque Bikinis for Warlokk's Teen D-Large Mesh on: July 05, 2006, 02:30:55 pm
In my efforts to better learn the fine art of alpha-editting and texture recoloring, I made these up and decided to share them.

You will need Warlokk's Teen D-Large mesh, which can be found HERE.

With the way these girls are dressed, you might also want to get the InTeenimator. :goodidea:
