1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Tendo(u) Dojo(u) {Revised for Vacation} on: April 11, 2008, 04:10:48 am
I haven't played in a long while, but I have been trying to get everything set back up with my new system and the new ep's and in doing so i became aware that they added some new content that will make this lot much closer to "reality". The hot spring they added makes for a closer koi pond and they can get in it. as well as some new doors that fit in the the japanese style.
I also updated the the signs at the front gate using the kanji. now if I can manage to make the right kind of doors (looks like the new ones I used with the rice paper but in a sliding door style and not the swinging doors) it will be perfect lol.

This will require up through the Vacation expansion and probably even freetime, I have all of them installed right now so the way this game works i am assuming....

with that in mind the only custom content in here are floors and walls and its all maxis or mine. with mine, I don't really cae what you do with it, if you reuse it for something kewl, if I get credit, also kewl, if not, whatever, this house has been reposted as others on other sites as I have seen recently so whatever. all I care about is that there are people out there who are enjoying my work, hate to think I was wasting everyones time and space lol

lets see, tech details,
its $162,382, on a 5x5 lot, I did minimal decorating but some of the rooms have a few things to fit in, for the table in the living room I recomend Peggysim's cushion chair, its a cushion that sits on the floor and will allow the sims to sit on the floor. I used to have some swords and stuff to decorate the dojo walls but I can't remember where i got them i am sure ill find them again soon though but i can't include them if I wanted to because i can't remember who made them. So this will have to do.

well thats about it, so I hope you enjoy it =)

P.S. - The left sign says "To defeat owner in savage combat, use rear door."
and the right one says "Tendo Dojo - Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū"
2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Starter Cabin $13,893 on: January 05, 2007, 07:12:42 am
Here is my contribution for the day.

One of my Only "Starter Homes"
It's a 2x2 lot, and almost unfurnished, but there are 2 floors, a (nother underground) garage, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room, and a living room/den. and lots of room for expantion when the funds and family grows.

as it turns out I wound up including, a stair recolor by http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=4407">Numenor, that I was not aware of (no *) untill I exported and ran it in CleanInstaller. The rest of the decor was mine. I used these to keep the cost down as low as I could.

I went with a wooden tone and look and there for called it a cabin not a house Wink

I need to make more floor and wall coverings to keep the varity going, but for now this is what I have, I felt bad enough including what I have, its hard to keep the costs down. and for some reason I desided to try for the nicest starter home I could. a rather new experiance for me.
I am used to making huge houses, on big lots. but not every sim can afford such a thing, at least not at first, and some never.

as I said it is mostly unfurnished but you will have over $6000 left to fix it up before you start working.

there is also room to put in a bathroom in the master bedroom area or something else if you like =)
my idea for that would be like picture 4 (not in the actual house)
or if you are single then prehapts turn one of the b-rooms into a hot tub room, or game room, I also considered putting a hot tum on the roof, but will need more stairs for that Wink

I just realized that not only did i not put windows but also no lights, but these are not critical and will only help keep your bills lower heh
3  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Small Lot, Big House on: January 02, 2007, 07:52:34 am
Small Lot, Big House

Cost $100,516
5 floors

Basement, 3 floors + unfinnished attic

Required EP's - Nightlife, Uni, Pets, Glamour, possibly more, not sure anymore lol

It actuly turned out bigger than I had planned, the third floor was effectivly unnessisary, but when I started I didn't want to put in the wonderfull assention stairs so I used the One Tile Staicase trick, and it had been a while, so I did that first off, once in place they are very difficult to move, but that makes this perfect for a big family, or lots of roommates. can you say party house? good, I knew you could =)

you might also notess that once again I used the underground garage (hence nightlife ep) I have been doing this alot lately, because (pirmarily) I like basements. in order to make a proper basement, you must have a foundation, if you have a foundation, then you can not attach the garage to the house unless you make the garage line up with the basement. to me its not a real garage unless it is part of the house, otherwise its just a car port. So, unless one of you imagenitive people knows a better way to go about this please let me know Wink this was just the best option I have come up with on my own and I think it looks neat.

you may also notess that I am not the best at decorating, usualy I tend to just make every room in as dark a color skeem as I can get, because hey, thats what works for me, i am a dark person, but I have been trying to get away from that on some of the ones I have intentions of uploading, and it makes it easier to see the rooms in the pictures. and I also try not to do too much in the way of furnishing the houses becuae that takes away from you being able to fullfill easy starting wants for your sims. easy way to get your want meater up a good ways right off the bat

I like to start the kitchen off with a buffett tho becuase usualy a starting sim has a bad cooking skill and will set fire to the house trying to cook for the welcome wagon, and I hate pizza, someone needs to make a chinese delivery mod!!! Wink

speaking of setting fire to the kitchen, there is a fire alarm and extinguisher over the spot for the oven in the kitchen (extinguisher is from uni)

the counters are from pets, they look kewl and are 2 enviroment each.

the fence and stairs might be from glamour life, although you may not need that to load the house, i am not sure.

I try to do most of my stairways and hallways 2 tiles wide so the there is not a trafic jam, it alwase seems to be an issue in my homes.

on the 2nd floor I made my usual toilet rooms big enough for just a toilet, and 2 shower rooms, for just a shower, again so there is less of an issue with sims getting on other sims way, if one needs the can while the other is showering, or whatever. there is room for 3 toilets and 2 showers in that area, and other places you can put them if desired.

Enjoy =) and if you do any major remodeling or redecorationg I would love to see it. Other than that, I don't care what you do with it, I dont even care if you upload it somewhere else (though I prefer it not be a pay site) if you give me some of the credit that would be cool though heh
took me longer to lay carpet and hang wallpaper than build the house.

and if you want a variation without the required ep's let me know I will strip it of those items and reupload, just let me know.

frankly this is the reason I stil play this game, I love to build. I have 2 others that came to me in a dream and then I forgot them in another dream, but they are still kind of 'inprosses' but I will upload them soon, I hope...

the small bit of custom content is all by me and should be included, if not you can get it from my other post, the tendo(u) dojo (still the one i am the most proud of heh and the only one I have uploaded to any site other than this one, becuase I like you guys the best)
4  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Onegai Twins on: December 31, 2006, 08:01:42 am
Where to begin, I started making the house from Onegai Twins, an anime, semi-sequel to Onegai Teacher. (Onegai = Please) although I was not able to get it to come out the way I wanted (stairwell and a few other things) and I added a basement (because I like them) I still think it came out fairly cool.
Some of the plants pictured are not included because I am noste sure where I got them exactly, probably from MtS2...
I origonaly had it decorated with some alternate wooden flooring and walls (most of witch came from PeggySims) but I didn't want to include tihngs I didn't make. I did include some of the walls and one floor that I made for the http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=23608">Tendou Dojo
http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=23608

I have all of the expantions and suplements so you may as well need them for it to work. I used Clean Installer to remove the few things that still got stuck in the file so hopefully it ill work fine. I have also checked each items I can tihnk of to make sure it was supposedly compatable with base game, I hope I checked them all.

If you haven't already been I can't recomend http://www.peggysims2.net/index.htm">PeggySims2  enough.
In my first arangement of this house I had used alot of the wooden floor and wall covers form her site and she has some great hair and other tihngs.
You can see some of them in the 5th picture and the last one is a closeup of the floor I liked.

The main character drove a scooter bike so i was going to use a motercycle i found on mts2 but its better to wait untill the sims wants one to buy a vehical anyway, same with things like shower, toilet, etc so I left it mostly empty other than the hot tub in the bath room, because they share a bath in alot of these anime's I use the hot tub to represent that and usualy include  the open shower that came with Uni. but again I was attempting to make it useable by as many people as possible, I figured you could add what you wanted. oh well enough of my rambleing, here are the pictures...
I hope you enjoy

oh and it costs about $44,000, not quite a starter home, but not a mansion either, with a good bit of room to improve if you feel like it. and as is its got alot of room, intended to have 2 bedroom, 1 office, bathroom, kitchen, livingroom and den + basement, but it can work sevral difrent ways.
I should also mention I origonaly used the ascention stairs, I removed them also incase you didnt want them. I personaly love them, but they are kind of cheeting.
http://forums.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=97367">Targa's Ascention Stairs
as it is I forgot to replace the stairs when I took them out
the ladder is a good one too...
5  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / The Tendo(u) Dojo & house *UpDated* on: September 24, 2006, 09:02:43 pm
It took me a while, but I have finaly finnished my vertion of the Tendou dojo, and home from the anime Ranma 1/2.

I had to make a few changes from the actual layout, due to the sims limitations on movment, like i had to put stairs on the porch, was not able to make sliding walls, i made the hallways 2 tiles wide, so on and so forth. but other than that I followed the actual layout of the home/dojo from a few pictures i found on-line for the floor plan and the rest from screen shots i took out of the show.

all of the content is either maxis default or walling and flooring i made myself from either maxis recolor or copying pictures from the show.

there are a few other items I did not include, that can be found on MtS2 like the rocks pictured around the koi pond, and other things I added to the one I am useing in my game like a katana wall hanging i also got from MtS2. but I not only could not remember each and every one I didn't want to require you to have to go web crawling all over to use the house.
I figured you could go get the decorations you wanted for that.
Oh an I believe it was peggysims who made the floor cushens I plan to use ine the living/dining room.

I did decorate a few rooms, like the bedrooms upstairs, to give you an idea of colse to what it should look like in case you did not want to search it out yourself.

This is my 3rd or 4th attempt at this due to problams with removing hacks and other custem content, i would up building the whole house with all of my custem content in another folder so it would not show in game because of teh flashing ground when the ground textures were removed. and I checked it with clean install. so everything should eb clean.

I believe I have included all of the custem content in the house, but just incase that dosen't work I am also uploading the walling and flooring in a seporate rar file or if you dont want the house and just want the wall tiles and floor tiles so you can design your own.

hopefully this will inspire some one who is good at designing clothing and hair to make other things from the show. at the verry least all of you other Ranma-otaku can (I hope) enjoy this house.

feel free to change it anyway you want to make it more approprate to your idea of right or to work in your game, I hope you enjoy. =)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just found out someone who did not have FFS was having trouble installing it, I did have it installed when I made this, but I didn't think I used anything from it. If I can figure out what is causeing his problem I will make a new file
at the time I had all of the EP's and Stuff packs, (pets wasn't out yet)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the 天道 Dojo
-----------------------------------------------
the new file, TendoSigns1.rar are the 3 pictured below
-----------------------------------------------
and here is the other sign, 2nd Tendo Sign.sims2pack
it says "To defeat owner in savage combat, use rear door."
野蛮な戦闘の所有者を敗北させるためには、後部ドアを使用しなさい。
writen top to bottom, right to left as it should be.
or well thats what babel fish told me it said lol

...OOOPS, I put the 2nd sign on the wrong side... here you go
so use revised if you the more accurate of the two, or wich ever one you feel like, heh
