1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: No Autonomous Classic Dance Hack on: October 14, 2010, 06:59:44 pm
Hello.

Does anyone know where I can find a hack to stop the autonomous classic dance that Sims do?  I HATE that interaction and it is especially annoying when I'm looking for my couples and they're dancing!   angry angry

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I understand the hack masters here are busy so if I could even get pointers on how to create this hack myself (dangerous proposition, seriously but I'm desperate), that would even help.  I really can't stand this interaction.

I have all the expansion and stuffs packs.  Someone please save me from this stupid interaction!

Thanks, Paden for your reply.

Well, I guess I don't need a hack for this because I just checked over at Simbology and TwoJeffs has this hack:

Chinese and Coffee Sit Down Fix

According to TwoJeffs, this will cause Sims to look for a seat and eat their Chinese food or drink coffee.

So, I guess this thread can be closed.  Sorry for wasting bandwidth!
4  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF ... A hack for the delivered Chinese food on: January 19, 2010, 10:58:25 am
To start:  I have all the EPs and the following Stuff packs:  Family Fun, Glamour Life, Celebration Stuff, Teen Stuff, H&M and I may get the M&G soon.  My machine runs Windows XP.

Here's the problem:  when ordering Chinese food and after it is delivered, Sims will get their food and just stand there, eating it and blocking anyone else from getting the food.  Other Sims could go hungry, all because the first one who grabbed their meal will stand in front of the food and block access to it.

Is there a hack out that will at the very least, make the Sim who obtained their food MOVE OUT OF THE WAY and eat somewhere else so others can eat?

Thanks!
5  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF - No autonomous Check Self Out for Sims 2 on: August 29, 2009, 10:20:25 am
I hate when sims do this.  Constantly running to the mirror to check themselves out or gussy up.  If anyone can tell me where I can find a no autonomous mod for this annoying behavior, I'd appreciate it.

I have searched for it here but there is this hack for The Sims 3.  I've searched online but the only place that seems to have it is Pandora Sims, which I'm not about to pay for a subscription to a site just to have one hack.

Anyway, thanks for any help.
6  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Stop Putting Food Plates on Floor, Stupid! on: February 15, 2009, 07:33:17 pm
I HATE it when my Sims do this.  They will prepare a meal.  When complete, they will attempt to serve it.  I cancel that action because I want them to place the meal on the counter.  They put the plate of food on the floor!  That ticks me off!

Any hacks for this particularly annoying behavior?
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Neighborhood Selector issue on: February 09, 2008, 07:45:45 pm
Okay.  I downloaded some custom neighborhoods.  They are placed in the correct folder (SC4Terrains).  However, whenever I go to create a new neighborhood, the preview of four of the 'hoods I downloaded only show as a grid!  I've included a snapshot of this problem.

Why does it do that and how can I fix it?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Law Career Corruption on: November 09, 2007, 11:54:29 pm
***An Update***

After uninstalling and reinstalling the game, I began adding my Downloads, one folder at a time.  Added my Hacks, things worked fine.  Started adding my Bodybuilder and Athlete meshes before it dawned on me that I had those Career Clothes from the Gay Sims 2 website.

Sure enough, when I added that folder with the Career Clothes, modified my test Sim who was in the Law career with the Athlete mesh, then "shaped" him with his career clothes, the "jumping" started again.  When I "unshaped" him and sent him to work, he went to work just fine.

So, Career Clothes for the Bodybuilder and Athlete have issues.  I wish I had taken a little more time to investigate it further but I backed-up my important stuff.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Sub-Download Folders? on: November 02, 2007, 05:31:06 pm
I have so many sub-folders in my Downloads folder, it's unreal!  A few of my sub-folders (like my Hacks folder) have sub-folders to specify who created the hacks I downloaded.  I don't have problems with it.
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Law Career Corruption on: October 30, 2007, 09:11:52 pm
Well, I don't know if it's truly corrupted but here's the problem:

I just installed Celebration Stuff and Bon Voyage.  To check out the BV features, I played with one of my several single Sims.  I had him go on vacation and return.  When he did and it was time for him to return to work, he wouldn't.  The work feature would show up in his queue but then he would "jump" and wouldn't go to work, as though the action had been cancelled.

Thinking it was one of my numerous hacks (I have them in their own Hacks subdirectory in the Downloads subdirectory), I removed the whole folder.  Unfortunately, the same thing happened.  When it was time to go to work, he would not.  Thinking it was one of my custom cars (also in their own subdir), I took those out.  Same thing.  Even took out the custom careers I have (I don't have many of those but I do have them) and I still had the same problem.

So, I decided to change his career and see if this "corruption" had affected all my base careers.  I used InSIM, changed him from Law to Military and wouldn't you know it!  He went to work without a hitch!  Changed him back to the Law career (which is where I want this particular Sim to be) and the problem started again.  I wondered if maybe this was just a fluke and it was just him so I check some of my other single Sims (only because they load faster) and they went to work just fine.  None of the ones I tested are in the Law career path.

Now, here's my question:  Since it does look like the Law career is messed up, how on earth do I restore it WITHOUT uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game?

Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
11  Retired Creators / Male / One Formal Outift for Marvines Athletic Guy on: May 18, 2007, 02:28:47 pm
Thank you for this!  I was close to removing this body mesh from my game because there weren't suits that were more formal.  I have Sims that are very dress down, suit and tie guys.  These fulfill that need for them!  Thanks.
12  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Major - Computer Science on: May 01, 2007, 11:42:06 am
This is great.  I have at least one Sim that will major in Computers so this is perfect.  Thanks!

Progress report.

After I purchased and installed Glamour Life Stuff and the Pets EP, the clothes still show up looking "Maxis regular" but when I place them on my Sim, they look "Bodybuilder FABULOUS!"  Is there a way to do something about the thumbnail pictures to get them to display correctly?
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Mods that have been updated for Pets on: March 17, 2007, 08:33:19 am
Is something wrong with MATY?  Every time I click the links to check my hacks that I got from there, it takes FOREVER to load then it finally times out on me.  I've noticed this for a couple of days now.

Anyone else having problems getting to More Awesome Than You?

Hmm.  I tried both methods and they still display incorrectly.
