Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Did this happen to anyone else?

Okay. So, I was playing my Sims 2 game last night, as usual. Now, my two children sims were off at school, and the father just left for work.
Suddenly, right after he leaves, the big military truck from the military career drove and stopped right in front of my house. Weirdest thing was that no one came out, then it drove right past my house. The mom was reading or studying something while all of this was happening.
Did any of this happen to any other person, or is it just me?:smt120

I looked at the official website, that will soon be open to the public by 3/19/08. I looked at it and I was wondering, who's going to get it? I mean, I know at least some are going to get it, but how many exactly. Cause, who knows, everyone might still enjoy The Sims 2 and keep it. Then TS3 gets ruined. Just wondering.

Hey, I was wondering, how exactly do you make low roof tops like the ones used on the houses in downtown and those city houses you get in your lots bin when you install Nightlife. I really need to know to create my dream houses.
Please, someone tell me how, I will be forever grateful at the people who do.

Yeah, I've heard about the Sims 3 for a long time now, but didn't know if they were actually going to make it. I wonder how it will be, from the pics Jelly and Tonena_1023 sent, the buildings sure look a whole lot better. Guess we gotta wait till' March 19th.
