personally i was a sim fan until second life...cant beat that for customization.  the sims is now just sufficient when net is down....they look atrocious.

Hey there.  I am trying to create a new merman and was wondering if ever...was there a way to get jackets and things onto the merfolk?  any input on this would be nice.  


Also, I am trying to create a special one for a friend of mine...I hv 2 questions....is there anyway to remove the dorsal fin...if it is okay of course...and where could i find navy tats and gear for the guy?  In case you can't guess, I am going for a Navy Seal...merman...lol.  If he comes out the way i'm thinking I will want to post him to share so I want him to look good.

Hello there.  These are the first Sims I have ever recoloured and actually posted so please...be kind.

I want to start off by saying thank you to Marvine, Beosboxboy, and all the creative genious out there who make InSIMenator and sites like it so great!

I tried to give these mermen their own "special" look.  I made a few "Animalistic" guys and then I added armbands to a few of them to match the tails.   All togeather there are nine of them.  I hope you like them.

*NOTE: Because I had all the expansion paks installed during the time of creation I cannot guarentee that these guys will be compatible without them.

hi there!  I am now ready to post the recolours for the mermen but quite honestly i do not know how to turn them into rars nor where to put them after i do.  I looked in the help section but did not see the solution.  Please help me.  I did get them into zipfiles but i want to do this the right way...your way.  any help or Just tell me where to go to find out if you will.  Once more and not for the last time...thank you.

Sorry beosboxboy, I was trying to help out.  So is it cool about the mermen then?  Seems there aren't many recolours for the men.  There is only one issue I have seen with them guys and thats the pectorals seem to eat up the longer hair styles so that it looks like they have long strands of hair coming from their nipples...lol.  Have you seen this yet?

u will see the thumbnail...the pic of the item u want to download...under it u will see the rar or zip file...click it choose save...choose desktop or downloads whichever place u want to store them until ur ready to install them...dang u r new to this huh...lol...really it depends on which site u r downloading from but they pretty much tell u what to do, you just have to read.:grin:

I save the file to my desktop...then i use 7zip to extract the files...from the zip or rar file. (free PC: http://www.7-zip.org/) After that go to my documents/EA games/Sims2/Downloads...and just put them into the downloads folder...they should show up in ur outfits in bodyshop or create family.

hi there...since I cannot post my topless mermaids while the adult section is down would it be alright if i recolour some mermen...it seems that noone else has done so and i dont wanna be sexist...lol.  Tell me what you think?
