1  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Re: Removing Unused Parts in MultiAlpha Recolors? on: July 14, 2009, 08:33:20 pm
No, I think I got all that, going to save this post to my tutorial bookmarks so I can refer to it later. Thank you so much!  Fanku

But it is safe to remove them with SimPE? Besides the actual textures, I'd have to pull the material definitions that call them and remove that call from the 3IDR, right?

Ah, you misunderstand. I am blacking out the alpha channels, but when I import the project the unused parts still have stuff attached to them, which take up unnecessary space. I want to get rid of those extraneous references, blank textures, unused EnvCubes, etc.

I made a few recolors of some multi-alpha meshes, but parts I am not using are still being included in the package file. Is there an easy way to remove the references to the unused parts of the mesh? I always get rid of duplicate textures, and these extra parts all have EnvCubes, and removing the extra textures ruins the outfit.

Well, I'm glad I pointed this out then. I didn't even notice at first because I keep so many skins, but I was redoing genetics on my skintones and realized I couldn't find this one.

I'll admit that I have no idea how to check the GUID, but I tried pulling out everything except 2 sims I forgot to grab and the package installed by CEP. I have SimPE, but I've only ever used it for geneticizing (skins, eyes, and color binning hair). If someone can give me directions I can try changing the GUID, or if someone could try making me a different replication of the skin to try. Since I use Lin's edition of Louis's skins for defaults, I really want this in my game.

No matter what I do, I can't get this skintone to show up in bodyshop. Anyone have any recommendations for me on how to fix it?
9  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Female Hair / Nouk Tribute - Part 2!! on: April 13, 2007, 08:28:41 pm
Perfect! Thanks for the blue (and all the other ones, too)! You've done a great job!

If you do another set of these, I'd love to see some blue shades too. I was actually debating on whether or not I wanted this Nouk mesh (I get about half her stuff), but these pushed it into the definately catagory! Great job!

Exactly what I was requesting in your idea thread! This is great!

Have you ever made a version of this that only affects career LTW's? So, say, a Fortune sim might want to be a Mad Scientist (Knowledge) or Mayor (Popularity), but they won't want to Max 7 Skills or Have 20 Best Friends?

ETA: posted here because if you already have it I'll be waiting for the download, and if not, but you decide to make one anyway, I want it to include Seasons careers.

Thanks!
13  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / POLL: What's Next for the Bodyshape Series? on: February 20, 2007, 07:32:59 pm
I have 2 requests that I'd like to make. The first is a "corsetted" bodyshape, with a more slender waist and pushed up breasts, maybe with the s-curve back. I'd prefer it to be roughly C breast size and 36 hips so it falls between the default Maxis shape and the Pinup Girl shape (and the teen size could be the default size). I'd also like to see a petite/slender bodyshape (which could be paired to your Teen A/Small), but I haven't figured out exactly how the bodyshape should look. I love your new full body sets, and your Classic Pinup, Power Girl and upcoming Renaissance Lady shapes will be put into a custom neighborhood I have planned. Cheesy
14  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / Question About BodyShape Prenancy on: January 17, 2007, 08:58:37 pm
Thanks for the quick response, guess I need to go looking to find out which full-body meshes you've converted normally have pregnancy morphs. (I'm almost positive that none of the bottom separates do, despite the number of morphable tops.)
15  Retired Creators / Female Hi-Res Bodyshape Project / Question About BodyShape Prenancy on: January 17, 2007, 06:57:56 pm
In your intro to your BodyShape series, you state that you've made your BodyShapes pregnancy morph enabled. Is this for all official released outfits (and therefore retextured clones), including separates? Or is it nudes only? Or is it some outfits and not others (like, maybe everything but separates)?

I've just started a new neighborhood to play with this extensive and wonderful series, and added Squinge's any outfit pregnancy mod so they can keep their real shapes during pregnancy, and was just hoping to clear up this question before I actually have any pregnancies to deal with.
