Yes, you'll have to have it scan for duplicates and then you'll be able to open just the duplicates to delete them.  I think that there is something similar for empty packages as well.

Check your log file and it should tell you what's causing the crash.  If you have other items in your downloads, it could also be something like that.  I suggest the download organizer from MTS2, scan for duplicates cleared the problems I had.

I saw that post, just wondering if she ripped the skintone from someone else's sim, especially any of the sims made of her on tsr.  I'm on a mission to find makers who take credit for sims with stolen content or ones that they did nothing more but tweak.

I do have a question, in the past if a creator even took a picture of a Sim that had any sort of pay items, the creations wouldn't be uploadable until they removed the item from the zip/rar and the picture.

I've noticed a couple people who have uploaded things using skintones from tsr, technically a pay site and in one case just plain out tweaking one of the creators' sims.

So is it alright on the new site to rip off someone's creations and upload them, trying to get credit?

This One not really sure if this person got the skintone from a celebrity sim ... but to me it looks enough like her that that's the possibility.  but this 'tweaker'flat our ripped off this sim

Good likeness, where did you find her skintone, you're not suppoed to re-upload anything from tsr that came from a celebrity, it's a part of a lot of the creator's guidelines.  What has happened to Insim, it used to be where you couldn't even take a picture of a sim with pay content, now we're able to download sims with it?

Is it considered flaming when we reveal a creator as nothing more than a fraud that used someone else's Sim to make something, you know what who cares.  This shouldn't even be available for download since the person ripped off another creator!

I do have a question, that I'm not really sure where to put it.  I know in the past certain mods would tell creators to remove items from a sim, if they had items from paysites (such as Peggy etc) There's a certain user that has been uploading sims that is not only packaged with items by ChazDesign at TSR and he has it clearly posted that he doesn't want any part of his sims uploaded anywhere else.  So is it not against the rules any more, for people to get praise for something they didn't make?  Not only that, this user made a sim of Will Smith, I downloaded him and put him in the game right beside the sim he made of Will and they're almost exactly the same, except for a nose difference.  I believe the person just tweaked him.

Well, to me the sim looks like it's just been tweaked a bit from this one. http://isc.thesimsresource.com/images/tmp/630/630366.jpg  Any one can change  Isn't the point of posting sims to post sims that are 100 percent original.
