The gmdc contains the 3d shape(all the meshparts)
The gmnd contains links to various basegame textures that were used on the original outfit.
The cres file contains the skeleton offset
The shape file links the meshes to the TXMT's(the material settings) wich you find in the outfit file itself
All files are linked to eachother and to the outfit file.

Feel free to upload Warlokk's meshpackage(not my file) at ISA just mention its a update on one of Warlokk's meshes and give him credit(and me if you like lol)

This is a great starter project Wink
And you do not need to convert the teen to adult, you can use the adult nude top and my default replacement.

You can open both meshpackages with Simpe, right click the gmdc and save it in a folder.
Those 2 meshes(gmdc) you can open in Milkshape

-import the bottom first
-import the top(do NOT import additional bones!! (Do import the morph's if you want one)
-Go to the groups tab and select both the top and bottom, then regroup them together
-Rename it to body
-Go to the comment box and delete the lines(i think the last 5) of the top and change the name ''bottom'' into ''body'' in the 1st line
-Hide the new fullbodymesh
-Copy the morphname of the bottom
-Select both the bottom fatmorph and the top fatmorph, then regroup them together
-Rename it back to the correct morphname(right click and past)

Do the same for the pregnant morph

export your file.

This is quickly explained, prolly forgetting things but there are tons of tutorials that do it step by step.


hmmm, reading your post in the request section there is a easier way...
Ill save you the trouble of making a package and using Milkshape

*Open the meshpackage from the milla fullbody with blockfeet with Simpe
*Right click the gmdc, choose replace
*browse to the afbodynakedHI-34ax34_MillaJ and import it(downloadlink below)
*click commit
*Save

Yes, thats the only way to get the mesh in Milkshape as it has to many meshgroups when you try to import it back.
However you can export the mesh with more then one shoe, reimport aint possible then so you have to work with a saved Ms3d file.


As you have seen the alpha's are split up in 14 diffrent meshgroups, its is done to cut down the bleeding from the parts.
You can however regroup them all together just keep the outside and inside faces seperate but you do need to change some material settings and transparancy can not be used then.
Cutting away parts of the alpha layer using the texture files is still possible then.(but no transparancy.)
You have to regroup them anyway if you are going to add morphs as you will exceed the ammount of meshgroups when trying to export.

Here is the Ms3d file with all the seperate parts named, its easier to work with, do wat you like with it.

Altho all meshgroups have diffrent names, those will not be used
The ones used are the names in the comment box of each meshgroup.
Just replace the shoe meshes with the ones you like.

I dont want to discourage you but this is prolly the most complicated sims 2 mesh arround(except a 34Ax34 mesh i made wich also has splitted up morphs for the fat and pregnant state.....)

There are no clothing meshes for Milla, the 34Ax34 is used for those.

As for the nude, you can use the Insiminator to switch to naked.
If im correct it uses Warlokk's Milla top and my sexyfeet default bottom replacement(when installed)........i think
But if Milla has her own bottom mesh, it might be on ISA in my section(Warlokk's bodyshape non named series/bottoms with sexyfeet)

I am no longer active on ISA so i could be wrong.  huh

Do you want to convert the textures(colors) or the actual shape of the clothing?
Converting textures between the 2 is possible if there are identical meshes(shapes) available for both adult and teen.

Converting the shape is not possible with only Simpe, like Raven explained.

You got it all correct! (just am a bit confused about the objx format, extracting the gmdc gives you a 5gd format file, not objx)

Forget the subset story if you are keeping the original meshgroupnames, no need to change anything to the outfit(recolor) files then.
You only want to change the subset name if you change the existing shoe to a completly diffrent design, like going from bsettheels to a high boot or a sneaker.
The subsetname controls wat parts it uses from the meshfile and the name(characters) are used in the texturefiles(the BMP's when exporting from bodyshop)

Wow!!!  I read through the whole thread and found most of my questions and concerns answered.  Wow again. I found a lot of my problems were due to the "underwear bulge" file.  I removed it and a lot of my clothes, underwear, etc. had the sexy feet!!  Yeah!!!  I do have one question. I found a lot of great clothes, undies, etc.; however, they are using a mesh that I actually have a copy of...  Solander_Male_Underwear01_Mesh_0660917.package.  I think it came from Pimp my Sims; however, the site is down.  I'm such a dufus when it comes to meshing; I even read through the tutorials and just got lost.

I read that you are spending a lot of time with The Sims 3.  Would you have time to please update this file with the sexy feet??  I have attached the file. Please let me know. Thank you!!

So you need to relink the custom teen bottom to the default....srry if misunderstood.

Next time you better,
clone a default skintone with bodyshop
clone your skintone with your fav textures with bodyshop
While still in bodyshop you:
replace the default textures with your custom ones(just a matter of copy and past with explorer)
save the file with bodyshop
Then use Simpe to relink all tops and bottoms

to fix your existing skintone file:

Link your teen bottom(skintone) to it
when done delete the meshfile

the gmdc in that file is the same as the gmdc in my teen sexyfeet file so your skintone will use it.

My teen package is a default replacement and only will replace the default teen blockfeet.
Wat you need are Warlokk's teens with sexyfeet.
You find them on ISA, replace Warlokk's teen meshes with the updated ones from Siezlins as he made them.

The multimeshes i made use a diffrent setup as the normal maxis stuff.
I seperated the mesh in a top/bottom/alphasleeves/alphaskirt/alphapants etc
I also seperated the shoes from the bottom as a new meshgroup so i could add more then one pair of shoes to the meshfile
Not sure on the Rengal(as it was one of the first) but those shoe meshgroups i named after the design of the shoe(sandals/slipper/boot) so i also changed the subsetnames(links to the meshgroups)
So if you clone the Rengal multimesh make sure you give each new shoemesh the same meshgroupname as i original did.

Forgot how many shoes there are in the that multimesh but you need to clone all the Rengal multioutfits as the outfits each are linked to a diffrent shoe.
Hope this makes sence......

In other words:
Clone a multioutfit with bsettheels and attache your new meshfile to it
Use the exact same meshgroupnames as i did in the mesh(meaning you name your new shoemeshgroup ''bsettheels'')
Clone the multioutfit with the slipper and attache your new meshfile to it.
Name your custom shoe ''slipper''
And so on.


you can give the shoes a unique new name but then you need to also change the subset in the outfit file.(and thats why i think they dont show up)
I can imagine you want to do that as the texture files generated by bodyshop use those subset names.
Ill explain how to do that if you like.

Oh, the morphs are linked to the bodyfiles but the shoes are not part of the body and have no morph.
So the shoe(and calve) is always the same but the bottom/top and alpha's change when a sim is fat/pregnant

Quick question tho!:
 - after you import your custom shape back into MS, you then say to import your saved .objx. Do you need to say "yes" or "no" to the "Do you want to INCLUDE additional bone definitions?" question?  And "yes" or "no" to the "Create blend groups?" question?

You shouldn't have that question when importing the body.objx
I think you saved that file earlier with the unimesh sims 2 exporter instead of the objx data split exporter
You might have took the wrong exporter, it is in the same list as the unimesh sims2 exporter
