Cheesy

I'm watching someone go through something far worse than that... my nephew (my avi Wink ) is three years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy- what Aidan from LFB has- it causes muscle weakness which eventually will slowly and painfully kill him befre he reaches 15-30 years of age. :/

I am currently going through hydrocephalus which means water on the brain. I am also going through Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral palsy (CP) is an umbrella term encompassing a group of non-progressive,[1][2]  non-contagious motor conditions that cause physical disability in human development, chiefly in the various areas of body movement.[3]

Cerebral refers to the cerebrum, which is the affected area of the brain (although the disorder most likely involves connections between the cortex and other parts of the brain such as the cerebellum), and palsy refers to disorder of movement. Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to the motor control centers of the developing brain and can occur during pregnancy, during childbirth or after birth up to about age three.[4][5]

Cerebral palsy describes a group of permanent disorders of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, that are attributed to nonprogressive disturbances that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain. The motor disorders of cerebral palsy are often accompanied by disturbances of sensation, perception, cognition, communication, and behaviour, by epilepsy, and by secondary musculoskeletal problems. The from of CP I have is called Ataxic. Ataxia  (ICD-10 G80.4) type symptoms can be caused by damage to the cerebellum. The forms of ataxia are less common types of cerebral palsy, occurring in at most 10% of all cases. Some of these individuals have hypotonia and tremors. Motor skills such as writing, typing, or using scissors might be affected, as well as balance, especially while walking. It is common for individuals to have difficulty with visual and/or auditory processing.

Just to let all know, my little buddy, Clay has Duchenne, and as of now he's having real trouble walking... he's going to be 4 soon, but he can't seem to walk without tripping constantly...

Well that's good then, at least you can control or help it somewhat...  Poor clay, the best he can do is wear leg braces when the time comes Sad

The footbraces don't hurt but the braces on the teeth when they are tightened is another story.

You're going to throw up some pictures? Sounds messy. *giggles* Yeah, immature humor, I know, but I couldn't resist.

I looove Amanda's eyes. And the baby clothes. I think my favorite pictures are of the babies falling asleep in the swing, very cute. Grin Now you've reminded me that I still need to download a replacement PT skin.

I advise you to download the set of PT replacements, they all have different skins, and the kids are usually fricken gorgeous! XD

The clothes were from theraven, and I thought they were appropriate for space-sprogs.

Amanda's eyes- as well as a lot of my other sims were from helaene... here Wink
