Oh dear I have 2 little problems

I have 2 engaged sims that will not get married !
I have no idea why this is the case. Can you help ?
Also I have noticed the sims will only arrive at downtown lots if they go in a vehicle. They no longer get there on foot. Is there a reason for this ?

The Sims are adults, two of whom have left University.
Perhaps I have too much in the way of CC.

I've had a problem with Cassie and Don not being able to get engaged to other Sims when they break up, or get back together for that matter. Not sure why or whats going on with that.
