The songs that drive you crazy thread gave me an idea.

What songs are there that you want desperately to hate, because it's not your style, or it's annoying, but you just can't? Either you liked it from the first time, or it just became so overplayed that it kind of grew on you like a fungus?

I'm gonna embarass myself, so here goes ...

Taylor Swift "Love Story"
David Archuleta "Crush"

Oh, I forgot the Katy Perry songs. Thanks for reminding me, rudeawakening. "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot and Cold" are ... dare I say it, great.

Also, indeed about the Rick Astley ... being rick-rolled is good times.  Grin

Only Women Bleed by Alice Cooper. The song is scary but so damn true in what happens. I hate that it's so true to what happens to women but it's a good way to get them to see that what they're going through is just damn wrong at times.

Mambo Number Five (and all the parodies made of it) by Lou Bega.

You know that some of these are inspired by what I have in my music folder at the  moment, right??

I liked that song, too.  What about anything by Ricky Martin?  Enrique Iglesias? ... How about I still listen to them?  Cheesy

And more 80's ... Rick Springfield, "Jessie's Girl."  Wink

Have any of you heard Jimmy Fallon's Eighties Medley?  It's a parody where he sings many 80's song to MC Hammer's tune "Can't Touch This"  I found it so hilarious because he does such a good job singing those old songs (and making me feel old!), so it's on my playlist as home. I giggle every time I hear it!

I searched on YouTube hoping to hear it, and could only find a live version. It was pretty funny, though. And somehow ... everything DOES work when sung to that song.  huh How baffling.
