Hello everyone,

today i bring you good news about the sims 3 game and the good news is no more evil Nannys for all the info you can read this

Enormous List of Sims 3 Facts
« Thread Started Today at 8:41pm »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Be prepared! I have a list from two different sources, and they sure are long! Here ya go!

This first list is from Tydannd at The Sims Resource.

There are cinemas, bistros, museums, etc that your sim can visit. You can work in these buildings doing a job pretaining to the building. Chef to Bistro. Athelete to Stadium.

The plants in Buy Mode, for me, are disappointing. I mean, really. But, we must understand that is a base game. We've all been spoiled with EP's and SP's, and just give EA time to get some EP's and SP's ready for Sims 3. We'll soon have a decent supply of plants for interior use. On a lighter side, the Build Mode plants are just awesome. There is such a huge selection, and the pond plants, too!

I made a mistake yesterday when I said there were 6 Traits that you could choose in CAS. There are only 5. Sorry!

You cannot swim in the ocean, but you can fish in it. And not every sim has the necessary skills needed to fish.

As far as I cared to travel, my sim would walk through the hills and on the outskirts of town. I am sure there's a limit to how far you can go, but I didn't find it.

The TV was also disappointing for me, but I think that I am also used to my Free Time Expansion for Sims 2. I have to keep reminding myself this is only a 'base' game. There are only 4 channels: Sports, Kids, Action, and Romance. You can however work out Strength or Cardio, instead of only one type of work out.

Lots are already in place. You can move them and rotate them, but it's my understanding that you can't add 'new'. I will have to double check that, but I think that's the way I understood it.

Build Mode plants are very nice. There are a few sizes for each tree type, and anytime you place a shrub it is automatically a different size. You cannot change this.

In the Catalogs, you can now select an item, and the description pops up. You can then zoom in or out on the object to get a better view. I LOVE THIS!

The Maximum width of a set of stairs is 8 tiles! They are HUGE!

Each floor tile and wall can be edited with the color wheel and texture library for limitless possibilities.

Fences rise with terrains, so you can have that hillside mansion with a fence that flows with the hills.

If you hover your mouse over a plate of food, it will tell you how good of quality it is and what it is.

Moving is interesting. You can choose to move to a new lot, and you can either sell your furniture or pack it. If you pack it, the furniture leaves the house with you. If you sell it, it stays with the house just as it was when you left it.

The mailbox and trash can are recolorable with the Create-A-Style. Your mailbox can finally match the house.

Police and burglars still fight, and the burglar alarm still deafened me.

There are now Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night Skies. They are awesome. The Sun and Moon move as well.

Tombstones now show the cause of death. You can engrave an epitaph, too.

When walking around town, you can choose to walk or run.

The ghosts are still colored according to death. And they look AWESOME.

Infants are wrapped in blankets instead of only wearing diapers.

You can see the infants moodlets and motives bars.

Sims will gain traits at birthdays. If you do a fine job of raising them or living their lives, you can 'choose' their new trait. This makes me believe that traits on birthdays are assigned randomly according to their behavior and the way they were raised.

You can take pictures with your Cell Phone to hang on your wall or sit on your tables.

You can follow the children to school.

You can even gain traits at school depending on your behavior.

You can get a job using the paper, internet, or physically going to the workplace of choice.

There is School Detention for children who fall asleep in class or cheat on schoolwork.

Kids/Teens now need their guardians permission to bring home a friend from school. AWESOME!

You can hire Magicians for parties.

Instead of Nightmare Nanny, you now have a babysitter...who looks like a YA.

You can literally interact with almost anything in the game.

Moodlets sway your Sims mood in either direction. Just because all of your motives a green, does not mean you'll be in a great mood.

Bad Mood sims are less likely to listen to your commands.

There are Part-Time and Full-Time jobs. The Part-Time jobs will not interfere with High School hours.

Pregnant Mommy's get a few days off paid from work. New Daddy's get a few days off after the baby is born as well, but it didn't not say if the Daddy's get paid.

Your Sim can read Pregnancy Books while Pregnant to help ensure a happy healthy pregnancy and happy healthy good-traited baby.

Be sure to befriend your boss!

Sims can tinker with electronics and appliances, they can even upgrade them. But, be careful for beaking and that electric shock.

Toddlers are not just eat and sleep. They are ambitious.

If you don't like how your sim has turned out, you can buy a Mid-Life Crisis to redo their personality completely if you have enough Lifetime Happiness Points.

If a business is closed, your sim can look in the windows of the building.

When my sim opened her fridge, you could see the cold air coming out.

Some actions have actual times you can set for how long the last.

Some actions also will tell you what the time will be when the sim is 'fully complete' with the action. Sleeping, for instance.

Bills come every morning. Or they are supposed too...lol. Mine is buggy right now. My Postman never comes, but the Repoman arrives every evening to take stuff...lol.

My sim brushed her teeth and aquired a good Moodlet for 'minty breath'.

While on the job, you have options as to what kind of performance you want to give: Business as Usual, Work Hard, Take it Easy, Meet Coworkers, Hang Out with Coworkers, Suck Up to Boss, or Practice a Skill. You can gain skills while working.

You can earn raises without promotions based on Job Performance.

You can tour community buildings alone or with a companion. You can also take various classes to gain skills at community buildings.

New Food Dishes.

I noticed that my sim could enter the library, so perhaps 'some' community buildings can be entered?

Not every bookshelf as the same books. You must browse if you're assigned to read a particular one by your boss or other various opportunity.

My sim ate out alone one night. I got a pop up saying she was unhappy with her food, and did I want to complain or continue eating it. I chose complain and recieved 500 Simoleons from the chef for my honesty. So, I will assume that chance cards are still available at random.

You can change the ringtone on your cell phone.

The Maid is no longer a French Maid. The first time she came, she was a normal dressed gal. The second time...it was a bald man wearing only cargo shorts. I am not sure if that is a bug or not. I was laughing too hard to bring it up. lol

Leftovers are still possible, and food dishes can be 'specialized'.

Sims can be toothpick skinny to grossely obese. They get fat on their necks and cheeks, too.

This next list is from Edenstyle

Custom content: you can create it both in CAS and while you play normally. When you like something you created wih Create a Style, you have to save it before, and then click on Share button. If you save it only, you'll be able to see and use it everytime you play. If you choose to share it, you'll find it in a tab in the laucher, with all the content you created. If you want to share the file in the exchange, you just have to click on a button to publish it. Of course you can name all your creations and add a description too. I didn't have the time to create many custom content because I'm here as a fansite owner and I'm supposed to check the gameplay mostly, but I like the fact that you can create custom content at any time and in any place in the game. You don't have to open a Bodyshop anymore.

I would like to explain you better the fact that Sims can have up to 3 clothes per category. You can create and save all the clothes you want in game, but when you play with Sims, you can plan for each of them up to 3 clothes per category. So, when you click on a closet and choose "plan outfit" option, you will be able to see/create up to 3 formal outfits, 3 swimwears and so on for that single Sim... Of course, you can delete one of the 3 at any time and replace it with something new. To change clothes, you should click on the closet or on your Sim and then choose "Change Clothes". Then, a window shows up and you can choose the clothes you would like your Sim to wear. You can also choose to wear your job uniform.

Pregnancy. Pregnant Sims get few days of paid rest from work and fathers will get few days aftern the baby is born. When a Sim is pregnant you can read pregnancy books and you should fulfill her wishes because Sims that were happy during pregnancy have babies with better traits. Pregnant Sims experience nausea and backaches, shown as negative moodlets too. At the beginning the belly is very little, it grows up every day. I clicked on the hospital and my Sim had "Get medical advice". She entered in the hospital and then she came out after a while. I didn't had this option with Sims that were not pregnant, so this is probably a pregnancy interaction. You can announce pregnancy to others, feel tummy and talk to tummy. When contractions starts, you can have the baby at home or at the hospital. The father can take the mother to the hospital, but she can go there alone too. They go there walking, by car or bicyle. No ambulance. When the baby is born, the mother exits the hospital with the baby and goes home. You cannot see what happens inside the hospital. Parents get few days off when they adopt a baby too, so they can take care of him. That's so nice!

Newborns have 2 traits and they get a new trait everytime they grow up.

You can finally visit your neighbors, just click on the door and choose "Ring bell". You can enter their houses too. If you know someone there, you will get something like "Visit Sam". If no one is in the house, you will get a message telling you where those sims are at the moment.

Weddings. You can have a private wedding or give a wedding party alone or in a community lot (in this case you should rent the lot and pay a fee.) No more wedding arch: just click on the wife or on the husband and choose "get married". They'll talk a bit, then exchange the rings and kiss. You can choose and customize the formal outfit you prefer. There are 2 wedding dress already in the game (they are similar, but one is without the necklace. Necklaces are included in clothes, they are not in accessories.), but you don't have to use them if you prefer something different.

To be able to cook more recipes, you should read recipes book. You should have a certain amount of skill points to be able to read certain skill books. You can also sell book when you are done with them.

You cannot lock doors.

Opportunities: While playing the game, my Sim had to read a book in order to increase his job rate and to make his boss happy.

At the SPA you can buy packages, have manicure, pedicure, body treatments (salt scrub, volcanic clay bath...), facial treatments, massages. After that you'll receive a positive moodlet and feel better for a while.

In Athletic skill journal you have your statistics: hours of cardio workout, hours of strength workout, distance jogged.

When you choose gossip interaction, you'll get a message with some gossip about one other Sim.

The babysitter is no more an old granny, but a male or female teenager.

Full time jobs, for adults: Science, Business, Journalism, Professional Sport, Military, Music, Law Enforcement, Medical, Criminal, Political, Culinary.

Part time jobs, for teens, adults and elders: bookstore clerk, grocery store clerk, Spa receptionist, Spa specialist, Burial specialist.

At the stadium you can see concerts and games.

You can tour the city hall, but you cannot follow your Sim inside.

To have a playable ghost, you should resurrect a died sim. If you decide to have a baby with a ghost, he will be a ghost baby.

Yesterday I joined CAS tips and tricks. Sims are more realistic and there are tons of sliders to modify their appearance. They showed us some great screenshots, with perfect shades. The good news is that they made them directly in the game, they didn't used any external tool to make Sims more realistic, like they used to do for Sims 2 (expecially for packages). About custom content, you cannot modify Alphas by default, but the CAS guru said that hackers would be able to do it.

We don't have a new race, but there are ghosts and you can have babies with them.

If you have many people in your family, then you'll start with more than 20.000 simoleons.

Good Sims can donate to various associations, like Kleptos anonymous. Evil Sims can donate to undermine those associations. For example, my evil Sim had the option to donate to undermine Underprivileged Llama.

Example of interactions evil sims can do: evil shower, evil slumber, steal candy from a baby and scare baby(!!!).

Furniture: highchair, potty, xylophone, crib (like the one we had in The Sims 2), canopy crib, 3 toy boxes (they can also play inside them), Toy oven, Building blocks table and few other things. The changing table is no more there. You have to click on the toddler to change diaper or clothes. If you have the highchair, you can feed toddlers with the same food you prepare for the other family members, but you have to use the food processor before.

If you click on a toddler, you have those interactions: change diaper, change outfit, feed on floor, pick up, snuggle, teach to talk, potty train, tickle, teach to walk, toss in air. Some traits give you more interactions. For example, evil sims can scare babies.

Parties: to give a party, you should use the phone. Then a window will pops up and you'll have to choose the starting time, the dress code (formal, casual, swimwear) and the guests. I've been able to invite 8 people.

Services: firefighter, police and adoption services are free. Pay services: Babysitter ($25/hour), Pizza delivery($30), Repairman ($50/hour), Maid ($75/day), Magician ($400).

When you adopt a baby, you can choose the sex and the age (newborn, toddler, child).

If you click on a restaurant, you can choose to drink/eat there alone or with someone else. You cannot enter the restaurant with your sims, but you can see them if they eat outside.

You can become a partner of a business lot and share the profits. If you have enough money, you can own the entire lot. The owner can rename the place, fire people and collect money.

You can collect seeds, insects and rocks. You can unlock Collection Helper with lifetime happiness points. This tool you'll be able to locate collectible items on the map.

If you burn the stove, then you can replace it by clicking on it and choosing "replace". It costs simoleons, of course.

Example of Lifetime Rewards: fast metabolism, discount diner, join theatre events for free, Fertility treatment for twins and triplets, fast skill learning, vacation days, super attractive, teleportation.

The beverage machine is very cool. You can make tons of beverages similar to the ones you can find at Starbucks. For example, you can make White Chocolate Soy Frathuccino with Banana Swirl.

Sims with few Logic skills can browse the Galaxy with the telescope and discover celestial bodies. When my Sim found a planet, she received few simoleons and had the opportunity to name it. In Logic skill journal you can see a list with all the celestial bodies you discovered.

You can discover other sims' traits, job and partner while talking with them.

Frugal Sims can find coupons in the newspaper.

Computer Whiz Sims can do these interactions while using the PC: solve the unsolvable, play chess, hack and overclock.

If you tinker on some objects, you can get some upgrades, like fireproof, self cleaning and unbreackable.

While you play with a teenager, sometimes you can find a lifetime wish between his normal wishes. If you like one of those, you can lock it and it will become his lifetime wish.

Teenagers can get partime jobs by clicking on the business lots. They cannot join the normal careers. Elders and adults can get partime jobs too.

Kleptomaniac can swipe, but only if they are not watched.

Toddlers, Children and Teens get a new trait at their birthday. If children had a good childwood, then you can choose a trait. If not, the game will give them a random one.

School time: 9am-2pm for teens and 9am-3pm for children. Sims who have not completed their homeworks can stay school longer. Students performance is influenced by mood and homeworks. Students that sleep in class or cheat homeworks will receive detention and have to stay a school.

Sunset valley has been built before Pleasantview, founded by the Goth family and built up by the Landgraabs to be a quiet, peaceful town.

I visited the Graveyard and it has been so funny... There you can go fishing (!!!), visit the mausoleum, explore the catacombs and... get a partime job (so creepy!). While visiting the catacombs, you get many funny messages telling you what your Sim is doing there. When my Sim went out, she had a special seed in her inventory. You can probably find something special every time you visit that place. If you click on the tombstones, you can read or engrave epitaphs and mourn.

When you load the city, you'll see useful tips on the screen.

You can write novels with the PC. Writing is a new skill.

You don't have a skill panel with all your skills, like in the Sims 2. Skill names come up after you get the first skill point. Then, you can click on them and open a sort of journal with your updates about that skill.

I created a Sim with those traits: perfectionist, brave, daredevil, ambitious and Charismatic. Due to her daredevil trait, if I click on some objects, I don't get the normal interactions, but I get interactions like extreme nap, extreme sleep, read something extreme, play extreme videogame... that's so funny!

There are 2 inventories: personal inventory and family inventory. In this last one you can store objects when moving or redecoring. If you move you can choose to pack your furniture: you'll find it in the family inventory, ready to be placed in the new house.

If you interact with the newspaper, you can find discount classes to improve your skills.

During the game you can receive some messages noticing you about things that can be interesting for your sim, like stadium match, sales...

Jobs: you are paid per hour. When you get the job, you automatically get your boss in your relationship tab. If you interact with him, you can ask to increase your salary per hour or to get promoted. When you go to work, you can choose from a list what you will do that day. You can work hard (then your Sim will come back a bit tired), meet workmates (to know new people), talk with workmates (to increase relationship level... it's so easy in this way), do something special to impress your boss, sleep at your desk...

If you click on workplaces, you can have different interactions, like get a job, go to work, attend a class, visit it... If you receive an opportunity related to that particular building, you'll also get a special interaction needed to fulfill the opportunity,

To modify your town, you should click on Edit Town and then on Build/Buy button in city view. Then you can modify both community and residential lots. Some community lots, like parks and swimming pools, can be totally customized. For work places, you can only add few things outside.

You can change lot type from community to residential and from residential to community. If you do it with a working place, the building will disappear, but the exteriors and the basement will remain and you'll be able to build a house there. It's not clear what happens to the people that were working there...

You can edit community lot details (name and description)

Shop for groceries: a window will show up with all the ingredients you can buy. You can also buy ingredients per recipe. So, if you want to cook something special, you just have to choose the recipe: all the required ingredients will be added to your cart. You can also sell your vegetables. Foam bath, goldfish, candles, birthday cake and a toy duck can been bought there too.

To use the mobile phone, you have to enter your inventory. You can place a telephone in the house too.

You cannot buy clothes, but you can create up to 3 clothes per category, for every Sim.

Households can be merged, evicted and splitted.

You can greet other sims friendly or rudely.

Some traits give you special abilities. They can be useful to improve skills (Artistic and Athletic traits, for example) and to get special interactions (childish sims can play with toys. Mooch sims can ask for food...).

Toddlers cannot visit the city alone, they must be carried by an adult. Children can walk around the neighborhood alone.

We can move working buildings to other places.

All the Sims of the city evolve togheter, but if you want you can stop the aging or the story progression. In this way Sims that you don't control won't get married or evolve.

You can change the lifespan. Here are the different settings:
*Short (25 sims days)
*Normal (95 sims days)
*Long (200 sims days)
*Epic (1000 sims days).

We can set a different hair style for every clothing category.

Accessories (gloves, socks, eyeglasses, bracelets, earrings, shoes...) can be customized with Create a Style tool.

Elders have grey hairs by default, but we can change their colour if we want.

The biggest lot size is 64x64

Roofs: the autoroof option generates roofs automatically when you build a wall. You can also choose roof height.

You can drag walls to enlarge rooms. When you do it, all the objects attached to them move with the wall itself.

You can place objects wherever you want, you don't have to stick to tiles anymore.

Bushes can have random different sizes.

Stairs can be built over the hills and you can also set their width.

If you liked all of these facts, you may also want to keep your eye on The Sims Resource Site Blog. They have daily updates on tons of cool stuff from the Creator Camp going on right now.

Oh well, MTS2 is already setting up a TS3 section (MTS3 for some reason - LOL) so hopefully some things will come along to improve the game. I agree that it sounds WAY too realistic and may remove the very thing TS2 was so well-loved for, escape from reality. We'll see. Will I get it? Of course, in for a penny, in for a pound. Same motivation that drove me to get all the TS2 EPs and SPs. It's more than just a game, it is an addiction.

Ghetto: I think you missed it about the clothes.... you get 3 outfits in every category, so 3 swimsuits and 3 formal and 3 pj's ect. And you can change what they are while playing. Just no more spending 2 sim hours on browsing and buying clothes. They are trying to take out some of the tedium stuff that plagues TS2 so you can have more fun with the fun stuff.

I for one am very excited about Sims3 and hope it comes out soon. I'd love it to be on Feb 20th, but if they need to have more time to polish it up, fine. I'd rather wait a month or two than get a buggy base game.

The wall of text was worth the read.
As stated in other topics, I'm going to wait until I see reviews and general feedback before committing to playing.

This is like showing me a picture of the cookie jar. When the jar is located in space. Sad sad sad that my machine won't cope with the new sims and so, c'est la vie, no sims 3 for me. Oh well ... I'll just have to find something meaningful to do with my time instead. LOL. Or failing that, stick with sims 2.

Sounds unreal though. Once all the expansions come out, it'll probably be incredible.

In the interests of presenting a more BALANCED picture to counter this obvious TSR propaganda, here's the BAD news:

1. You can haz SecuROM! Not only will it attempt to phone home every time you play the game, but it STILL wants the CD!
2. No Insimenator! All information available indicates that TS3 will be considerably more locked down, so you can kiss your Insimenator-type object goodbye. It's the EAxis way or no way! So while familiar forms of tedium which have long since been hacked out of TS2 may be gone from TS3, you're stuck with all-new tedium!

Still want to buy it?

a) Many of the active topics on this forum are full of complaints. This "TSR propaganda" isn't an attempt to glorify a military coup, it's "Hey! There's some cool stuff in there!" balancing the "IT WILL SUCK DO NOT BUYZ IT EVERYTHING EA DOES IS EVIL AND BUGGY AND UGLY."
b) All right, I agree, SecuROM is composed of equal parts suck and hatred. Why haven't we made a petition yet?
c) The InSIMenator and all the mods we know and love took a little time to release. Besides, it's not like playing vanilla is a crime against the Internet. Millions do it every day. I like my damn tedium sometimes. That said, I'm sure it will be a godly, mind-blowing masterpiece after you get your keys on it, no sarcasm.
