Get spanked as a kid. Getting beat up as an adult would be humiliating.

Would you rather swim in shark infested waters, or go hiking in a forest known for it's grizzly bear population?

Bears. On land I have a chance at defending myself.

Poor person. Especially if the rich person was ugly inside.

Punch the gorilla. If he did try something, I would have my arms to (try) and protect me.

Would you rather get into a crappy band's concert for free, or pay big bucks for a really awesome band's concert?

Bury my pet fish. Presumably, it's already dead an has nothing to lose. And look at the bright side. It can turn into compost for a rose bush.
