Hello. I was wondering if it was possible to make a mod where the Butler doesn't try to be a nanny, and just leaves my Sims kids alone, especially the babies?

I have all EP's and SP's.

Chaavik brought up a good point about this mod. Do you still want it?

Hmmm.. interesting idea...

I've got to ask a question about this....

IF the player hasn't installed a mod to prevent the Social Worker from showing up when a baby or toddler is hungry, will the mod literally prevent butlers from feeding these children completely?

I have Inge's social worker hacks, and plus the Sims I have usually stay home with their babies anyway.

Yes, I still would like the mod.

Okay, we will test this extensively to ensure the mod works in every aspect we can think of as a precaution not just for players with Sims who remain at home but also for players who have working Sims.

Anything else you want to consider if you do have working Sims who hire butlers to care for the homes?

Not that I can think of. The only thing about the butler that annoys me is the fact I always have one parent home to take care of the Sim babies, and the butler is always getting in the way trying to take care of them instead. LOL. He just seems to have a thing for my Sims kiddos and it irks me to no end.

But I totally understand that you need to test it extensively for others. I know not everyone will have Inge's mods.

Thanks guys. Smiley

Okay, no problem! Check back in a little while for any more updates on the mod in testing. Could take up to 2 or 3 days, maybe sooner until we know for sure the mod is working as intended.

By the way, if there's something you guys can think of to improve the mod for others, a feature to add or something of the sort, it doesn't bother me. I'm just sick of yelling at my game going, "Step away from the baby and no one gets hurt!"  Wink

EDIT: Any update on this mod?? It's been a while, I'm wondering if the testing had issues that made it impossible?

All of my beta testers are MIA so it may be awhile before I know if this is working.

I plan to check this out a bit later and get the results back to Mr Squinge whenever I can. Check back in a day or two for further info.

I did a search and I found exactly what I was looking for: butler leave my babies alone!

I don't see end result. Is this still a work in progress? Have I asked another dumb question?

I found the list of things that are work in progress for Squinge and Chaavik.

I see that "Butler leave kids alone" in on it.

Great!

Thanks, Squinge and Chaavik!!!!!  YAY
