I figured out the back up thing.

Now, when I start my game, everything is fine expect none of my custom objects show up.

The custom clothes and hair and eyes and makeup work fine, but the furniture and other buy mode objects don't work.

Some of the plants that came with the base game don't even work.
What should I do?

Also worth mentioning...

All the custom content I have is compatible with base game and nightlife, as those were the only two I had before Pets.
Would the problem have anything to do with my game being the deluxe edition?

AND,
the base game furniture isn't showing up in buy mode. Nor is any nightlife furniture

I should.
But am not really sure.

And, I exited the game, went back in, and now my catalogs are fine.
All custom items are there.

The only problem now is this.
The neighborhood screen isn't slow and glitchy.
But when I enter a family, everything moves super slow.
And the active sim's plumbob flashes, and they won't complete an action. They just stand in place instead.
And any toddlers stay in crawl position.
And even while using the maxmotives cheat, their motives drop anyway

Could this MAYBE have something to do with inteen and/or insim being the nightlife versions? I just thought of that. (Sorry, I know I'm not supposed to ask questions about either of the two!   huh )

Can't help you if it is, sorry. We don't support either. The only suggestion I can give is too remove them.

You have at least Pets, because in your other post you said that you just installed it.

First - take out ALL your hacks. Then tell us what EPs you actually have installed. At the moment all we know about are NL (maybe) and Pets, but you may have more that we don't know about. It is a bad idea to keep around old hacks. You need to update them for the newest EP you have in release order, not in the order that you installed them.

Okay well, thanks to everyone.
The problem has been fixed.

Turns out that once I updated the aforementioned mod that I won't be mentioning again, things worked properly.
