I have yet another problem going on. This has been a bad last few days for my sims game. I searched all of my downloads to get a grip on my recent freezing neighborhood loading problem. I did, and apparently I had a messed up file or something in my Build File, which is weird because I haven't touched my Build File in like two months or so. Anyway, I got rid of the freezing, but now my apartment building is messing up in a weird way.

The building was made by me recently with the "changeLotZoning" cheat. I do have the correct doors, and no back doors, as I said in this other thread a couple days ago (http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,103740.0.html). I looked to make sure that nothing was wrong and I honestly am at a bit of a loss. This doesn't happen with my Maxis-made apartment building, just this new one. I have all four apartments filled with people (my sims, not townies) and they have all rented apartments from the land lord. The money was taken out of their accounts, their names are on the front door and everything.

But for some reason, the building is not registering two of my four families as 'moved in', and two of them ARE registered as moved in. I have furniture in the apartments and everything. But my sims (in the two families that are messed up) can't sleep in their beds, they can't use the phone, the fridge options are limited. I can choose to lock the door to disallow pets, though. Anyway, this is weird. Like I said, it does not do this on my Maxis apartment. Could it be that I used the "boolProp aptsublotspecifictoolsdisabled false" cheat? I used it after my sims were already moved in to fix one of the roofs. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any idea of what it could be?

This little pop-up keeps telling me I need to click on the door and rent the apartment still.

EDIT: When I am playing one of the families that work, a room in the neighboring apartment (still dark) shows furniture and things. The people are blacked out but I can still see their sillouettes. This is so weird. Here's some pictures to explain.

Not trying to bump my post, but I needed to attach some things. I am continuing to have errors. Something weird is up with my game. I am having errors pop up left and right. I wrote down the log file and everything, but when I open the document, I can't understand what it is trying to say. There are so many numbers and things. I have them pop up out of nowhere, and I had one pop up when I was trying to save at my apartment lot. I am still searching for the particular error # for the apartment lot, but these are a couple of the many errors that show up at any and all of my lots (including the apartment). Maybe they will help figure out what the problem is? I will attach three of them, and keep searching for the saving error, then I will upload that. Any light shed would help.

P.S. I don't know if this is important, but the Baby Clothes Changer will not work on my game at all. Every time I try to extract it to my downloads, my game will not fully load. And my SimPE has been acting odd with Sim Surgery as well. Maybe these things are connected?

EDIT: Found and uploaded the Saving error in apartments.

it could have messed up your apartments yes. Shouldn't do that with people moved in. Make sure you did "boolProp aptsublotspecifictoolsdisabled true". Move everyone out. See if the apartment building looks normal with the little spinny cubey thingie and that it has rental prices. then move one family in and see if they have the options to choose each door.

I will try that. Thank you very much.

EDIT: I moved all of my families out, deleted all of the furniture and everything I could do. But now, for some reason, no matter how many times I typed the "boolProp aptsublotspecifictoolsdisabled false" it will not work. I want to double check the building parts of the building. It won't enable for some STOOPID reason. I'm going to keep trying until I eventually break it or it works. But man, I am seriously thinking of chucking the whole lot. It has been nothing but trouble. Anyway, maybe this thing is just having a day where it is mentally ill and it will work tomorrow.

turn your apartments to residential, do the building updates then convert it back to apartments. exit to neighborhood. go back in again and save. then see if it is ok. if there are no people in the apartments now, don't use the apartment build cheat. it seems to cause a lot of people problems.

Whoa, I never thought of that. That was an embarassingly simple solution. Thanks a bunch. I will do that. I bet it will work, too.

EDIT: Woohoo! It worked! Thank you so muchamc62000! Everything works and the saving error is gone. I still get those "Age Controller" errors, but I have had those for a while. If anyone knows what they mean, please let me know. I don't even know what the Age Controller is.

"Age Controller" errors.

The only time I had the Age Controller errors was when I had an older version of Inteen (FT version) does not work well with AL. For some odd reason it did let any one age. Is the the problem you are having?

Or an outdated mod that modifies aging such as Monique's aging controller mod or another similar mod. Inteen can also cause aging errors but only if you don't have the correct version of Inteen. Anyway, if you do have issues with Inteen, it's best to ask for help at Simbology with Inteen issues.
