Paranormal Activity 4. Rather uneventful. Should've named it 'The Teenage Girl Who Screamed a Lot Over Some Mildly Spooky Stuff.'

Splinter - CREEPY. AND CRINGE-WORTHY. Grin

Drag Me To Hell

Not bad at all. As a horror buff since age 8, I've come to recognize the repetitive plot lines and lack of originality in the majority of modern-day American horror cinema. But I rather enjoyed this. If anything, the acting was good, and they didn't make another "splatter movie" (gore for gore's sake). Smiley

Yet again, I watched Independence Day.

Comments are the same as last time. If you're in the market for a slightly cheesy action/alien invasion disaster flick with at least a semblance of humor, this is your film. Still find quite a few of the one-liners funnier than I should.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

I liked it, but despite the fact that I have not read the book(s) it was very predictable. I sat mouthing "plotpoint" several places in the film, and 5-10 minutes later it turns out I was right. I also saw some of the major plot points way too early. The characters also suffered from my major "monster-movie" pet-peeve in not running when it's logical. If some bizarre creature comes toward you, don't even bother looking at it and wondering what it is. If it looks dangerous and you don't have a proper weapon, then run and hide as fast as your legs can carry you! Also, look up (but discretely). They always forget to look up.

It also belongs to the story that I had a quite bizarre dream that night, mixing in a little of this and a little of that (including some from the movie, what might have been sims-babies, the Doctor (Matt Smith) + River on "new adventures", plus a whole lot of non-BBC-approved monsters and whatnots), which had it come as a movie I'd most definitely go and watch. As always I'm not quite sure how it ended, because I always wake up before the solution is wrapped up. But I know it was good (exciting, and pretty much devoid of all my movie pet peeves, and totally unpredictable).

The Purge- Actually saw this over the summer. Possible spoiler: I wasn't surprised with the twist as I caught the animosity right at the beginning.

Now you see me - Loved it til the end where I got lost at the closing scenes.

Off to see Warm bodies & possibly drag me to hell if I have time.  Glomp--->Mooncat

I wanna see The Purge SO bad!!! *jealous* Grin You will love  Warm Bodies and Drag Me To Hell! Cheesy

Last night I watched Insidious. Really good movie, although I thought it was not scary. Creepy in some parts, but not scary. I guess I've seen too many "haunting" movies to find them scary anymore.
