Day the Earth Stood Still - 2009
Day the Earth Stood Still - 1951

Nothing alike but both good in their way, if you like SF.

I loved that the rental I got of The Day the Earth Stood Still had both versions, unfortunately I'd gotten it from the place that lets you keep it for one day only and I didn't have time to watch the 1951 version.  Undecided

I watched Get Smart today, I was surprised how much it made me laugh. I must've been really bored. lol.

The little one and I just watched Nightwatch. (Not to be confused with the Russian movie Night Watch, which ... is weird, to say the least.) It was actually pretty good considering the crap I usually sit through just for the sake of staring at Ewan McGregor. I just found out on IMDb the screenplay was co-written by Steven Soderbergh. I must not have been paying attention to the credits or I would've known to love it. (I love that man.)

I watched Premonition the other night. I really like Sandra Bullock, but that has to be one of the strangest films I've ever seen her in.

Finally got round to watching I am Legend. Definitely enjoyed that one

I'd like to go and see Wolverine and the new Star Trek film when they get to the cinema here

I keep wanting to rewatch that ... I loved it so much even though it made me cry so many times. LOL. Yes, I'm odd.

I just watched Incendiary, it was so bad. It started out making at least a little bit of sense even though it was way too overly dramatic, but it just went down the drain REAL fast. I want my two hours back. Seriously. No amount of Ewan McGregor nudity could make that worth watching. Those two hours where I wouldn't have been doing anything otherwise, I STILL want them back.

Watching Valmont now Dunno who knew it existed? .  Must have been poor timing to make this at the same time as Dangerous Liasons.   A different approach, the acting is good but oh the fire that Liasons had is missing.

They used two of my favourite Snow Patrol songs in that movie and it was terrible. I don't forgive films for using good songs. Or TV shows.

Right now I'm watching some of Star Wars Episode I.
