Gah!! Disney! Argh! Kid! *runs away in abject terror*

...and I was watching Return to the House on Haunted Hill last night. Needed MOAR gore, even with this being the unrated version. Hah.

(And the paramour wants to watch 'Troy' tonight, so I snagged a copy via Amazon. What? Don't look so shocked. I do occasionally pay for things I download. Tongue)

The Brave One w/Jodie Foster.  I kept getting the feeling I had seen something a lot like it before.

Troy, Directors Cut.

...Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger's bare arses was totally worth sitting through that for three hours.

Australia - or at least the first 10 minutes of it.

Jeff and I thought "Hugh Jackman's in it so it must be good!" WRONG!

We were so confused 10 minutes into it that our brains hurt and we had to shut it off.

Also, Untraceable.  Pretty good movie!

See, that's why I find it so difficult to have a conversation with you Jenna.  Everything always gets so intellectual and esoteric with you. Cheesy

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I didn't like it as much as I liked the others.  Undecided

I liked Troy simply because of how it managed to combine ass-kicking masculinity and a decent love story into one movie.

Things the movie got right:
-*shouts* ACHILLES!
-Achilles dragging Hector's body behind the chariot was pulled off well.
-The Trojan Horse was pulled off well.
-And of course, who could forget that Greek guy, who may or may not have been named, getting impaled in the face with that spear upon the Greeks' landing at Troy?

What the movie needed IMO, besides more cowbell, was the gods meddling more in the war itself. The way it was presented seemed like a historical perspective on the Iliad. I liked the results, but, personally, I would have liked more of the mythology presented. I can now imagine Diomedes joyfully wounding Ares and Aphrodite...

Total Recall. One of the movies I can watch over and over again.
