I saw 1 1/2 movies tonight...

Suck - the title explained it all.  a dark comedy movie a friend suggested about vampire rockstars... I could only tolerate a half hour before shutting it off and switching to Dark Shadows... which, by the way, was very entertaining. Humor, romance, murder, and drama... it's all present in that movie. All my friends who have seen it told me it was worth seeing. They were right. Smiley I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Shadows! Cheesy

Yeah, Suck really did suck, but I already hinted as much to you. LOL.

I haven't seen Dark Shadows yet, because I'm too afraid I'll be disappointed. (I love the original soap - my mom used to watch it when I was almost too young to remember lol).

The last movie I saw was Looper. It was really good. Joseph Gordon-Levitt does a great job of playing a young Bruce Willis.

Yes, you told me so... Tongue I just wanted to find out for myself. Open a window, what a stinker! xD

I haven't seen the original soap, so I can't compare. But the movie was really good; it had some giggle-worthy stuff in it, as well as plenty of dark drama and romance. Cheesy

I think I'll toss my expectations out and give it a try. I usually find if I try to enjoy a movie in its own merits without comparing it to what it is based upon I'll usually end up liking it.. Besides, I love good cheese .  my overplayed Evil Dead movies is testimony to that.

I finally saw Legends of Sleepy Hollow today.
It was really cheesy, but pretty good.

Looking forward to seeing Dark Shadows, Johnny Depp in almost ANY movie is enough of a reason to watch it. The boom stick line is actually a ring tone that I have on my cellphone... Gotta love Bruce Campbell, he rocks anything he's in and the more cheesy the movie plot is, the better he shows off his skills in making me laugh, which I haven't been doing for a good long time, really. Sorry I haven't been on much, it gets hard when you can't read much of the posts because your vision is fading faster than cheap blue jeans.

I just saw The Strangers.

Normally movies don't scare me (although there are a couple that do Wink ), but this movie scared me so bad I had a panic attack. When it comes to usual horror movies like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, they can be somewhat creepy but all-in-all we feel good in knowing that it is, in fact, unreal. But this is not only about something that could really happen (and has happened), but it's based on true events. The realness makes it scary.

I've seen it. It's definitely a creepy movie because it crawls right into your head and plays with fears everyone has, whether they realize it or not. What was the last movie I watched? I honestly don't remember. LOL. I got about halfway through it before saying, "This really sucks butt." and turning it off.

I've got My Fair Lady recorded on DVR, so that's next on my list of movies to watch.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I am at a true loss for words to accurately describe this movie. Amazing? Epic? Wonderful? None come close. I must admit, the title definitely rendered me skeptical. I figured it's be some cornball B-grade film. But several of my friend raved about it, which convinced me to give it a try.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is, in my opinion, the greatest movie of 2012. I HIGHLY recommend it. Goodjob

Mooncat, I'm so excited to see the movie now. I was really scared to because I'm picky about movies and I don't want it to be a piece of crap. Now I have a recommendation. Yay.

Last movies I saw:

Snow White and the Huntsman- Sucked. It was so boring I wanted to scream.
Rock of Ages- Very fun if you like musicals
Suckerpunch- Very boring. In truth I only say about 10 minutes of it because I'm not into that dumb artsy type.

The book, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," was very dry and dusty, hard to get through, so the movie has GOT to be an improvement. I re-watched Thor yesterday and had a blast with it.

Magic Mike.

The storyline sucked, as did the ending, but... y'know... Channing Tatum. 'Nuff said. Grin
