I'll have to check it out.  I used to live and swim in the area she was from. I remember when that actually happened. I didn't know they made a movie about it though.

I'm currently watching: Hoshi o Ou Kodomo

I watches about twenty seconds of The Wrestler today while waiting for my younger siblings to finish dinner. I need to make a mental note to DVR it next time it comes on a channel I get.

The Wrestler is an awesome flick. The wrestling just serving as a backdrop for far more universally felt themes. Great performance by Marissa Tomei and the best performance by a bloated actor (Mickey Rourke) not named Marlon Brando ever. I haven't enjoyed Rourke's work this much since The Pope of Greenwich Village , a real oldie.

Desperately Seeking Susan. I saw it first time (full movie) and I love it! I watched it with my mum, 'cause we both love 1980s and Madonna! (;

.. or it was Star Wars. Star Wars

Red Dawn (remake)

Good movie! I haven't seen the original, so I can't compare... but I'm guessing that the original is better than the remake, as is typical with 99.9% of other movies. Cheesy

We watched Totoro again for like, the fifteenth time ever. My son loves it so much we got him a winter hat made to look like Totoro and he's worn it faithfully every day to school and back, which says something because he hates hats.

I love Totoro. When my god daughter was small we watched it all the time. Hmmm...what's the last movie I watched? I honestly can't remember. How sad.

The Breakfast Club.  I think it was for the third or fourth time this month.  It was a good movie from when I was 6.  That was the last movie I watched so far.   cool

The Hobbit.

Alright movie, but not WOW in any sense. Then again, the LotR stuff has calmed down for me, so I really only watched the movie to have watched it. Can't remember much from the book as it's ages since I read it, so I can't even do the the book VS movie discussion.

So, last night I finally watched Sinister. I really enjoyed it, although I was disappointed at the fact that it wasn't scary. Don't get me wrong, it was SUPER creepy, but I didn't jump or have nightmares like I expected to. I thought it was supposed to be really scary. Sad

Entertaining, yes. Interesting, definitely. Creepy, heck yes! But scary? No. But I still loved it. Smiley

I'm with you Raven.  I liked the Hobbit quite a bit but I love Lord of the Rings.  I think it's more that I always liked Lord of the Rings better then the Hobbit when I was younger anyway—so I'd say the excitement is pretty much in line with how I felt about the stories in general.  I was curious to see how the Hobbit would turn out but I was never in can't-wait-to-see-it mode like I was with the other movies.

Totoro and Whisper of the Heart have always been my childrens' favs along with pretty much any Hayao Miyazaki film--they've just about seen them all.

Recently saw Don't be afraid of the Dark which was slightly better then I expected although the very beginning made me cringe.   Also saw Jack Reacher which I had put off watching before.  It had been a little too close to the shootings when it first premiered so I was put off by the beginning of it. I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan but it was fairly decent.

I'll be watching Sinister next...{thx Mooncat! YAY}

You're welcome Dasi! Let me know what ya think of it. Cheesy

Last night I watched Pandorum. I LOVED it! It was the perfect combination of psychological thriller, sci-fi, action, and creepiness. My mind has been blown. Cheesy
