You don't have to get strep to get tonsillitis, it can be a totally separate critter. *shudders* Mine was chronic when I was a kid.

Mine was caused by a massive infection that spread through my ears, eyes nose and throat. It wiped my tonsils and adenoids and I ended up needing shunts in my ears. There was some other lovely stuff going on, but I'll save you the joy of that mental image. LOL, but there is something kind of funny. I love olives. Any olive. Yum. I couldn't swallow anything without agony. Even breathing hurt. My mother couldn't get me to eat a thing. One night she woke up hearing me cry in the pathetic little mewling sound I could make at the time. She found me in the middle of the kitchen floor with a jar of green olives between my knees. I was eating them one at a time and bawling my eyes out because it hurt so much. Sad, yet funny.

It could be she just didn't know. Yes, all that for some olives. I can vaguely remember it. I remember not being able to hear properly, because of the all the gunk in my ears and I remember not being able to see properly, because my eyes were swollen and I had so much gunk and ugly crap coming out of them, as well as the eternal headache because my sinuses were so inflamed. I also remember being so hungry and each olive tasted so good, but it felt like I was swallowing corrosive acid laced with glass shards.

Oh I absolutely do! Problem is, I still can't eat a lot of them, because they're quite acid and my mouth doesn't like acidic. That cuts a lot out of my diet. I can't have oranges at all and that makes me sad.

Same here, I love oranges! I drink orange juice out of habit everyday now.  tongue

Now for an important life event,
This weekend, I've officially started practicing driving!
On Saturday I drove around a parking lot for about an hour, getting used to the gas, turning, signals, basic stuff like that.
Today, I actually drove around my neighborhood, so I actually had to deal with traffic and stuff. I have to say, tailgating is pretty freaking annoying. I mean, I'm going the speed limit! If you don't want to do that, go ahead and overtake me. Just don't tailgate me!  Cheesy

As for a life event:
Brett and Bella (Clay's parents) are expecting a boy I think I already told you this, and they are about to find out if he might have DMD or not, they'll get the news Tuesday I believe. Pray for their little kiddo everyone!

I hope he doesn't have that, when I read about it, it just sounded slow and painful.

Well Clay seems decently okay with it so far, I'm proud of him he's a little warrior, let's hope by some miracle there is a cure before his time comes! And if his little brother does have it they can have eachother's back, ya know?
