Good news indeed Junior, here's hoping it stays that way.

My big little boy is 13 today, a big day indeed, anyone see that sketch where Kevin (Harry Enfield) turns 13?  Then you know what I mean.  A whole new phase of parenting is starting-wish me luck!

Last night, I made my grand debut as a guitarist for the jazz band at my school. Sure I've been playing guitar for three years now, but have never performed outside my bedroom. I got a lot of compliments on my performance from a lot of people, mostly my classmates.

That's awesome soul!

I have my first choir concert of the year coming up, too bad I missed the solo auditions I think I had a killer Silent night going! Oh well, it's still going to be fun, we wear pretty dresses and pumps (guys wear dressy shoes and suits) and in the second half we wear PJ's and reindeer antlers!  Cheesy

I just got back from my OB appointment, and the doc says I have Strep B infection and I've dropped 5 lbs in 1 week. That means I will have to take antibiotics during labor to keep Rosie from getting seriously sick. The doc tells me it's fine but I'm worried. Keep my daughter in your thoughts, guys.

Will do, Jamie.

I'm hoping everything goes according to plan! When are they going to induce labor, the 19th?

Brandon needs to speak with his boss 1st thing Wednesday when he goes to work. His schedule has been changed and Brandon needs to have Bill change it again so that I can get induced a little earlier. The sooner I get the induction, the more likely it is that Rosie won't just try to come on her own. I need to have enough time to get treatment before she's born, at least 8 hours worth. So I am going to have B try to get his vacation started earlier so we can induce as early as the 17th.

Be careful with that Strep, it can mess with your pancreas! My daughter has acute pancreatitis, which cost her the baby and could make her diabetic if it goes untreated. Apparently, she's had it for awhile, since her last bout with Strep and it has done that to her pancreas, so I'm keeping positive thoughts for you and your little girl, specially since they share a name...

Today, Brandon is going into work early to have a talk with his boss about what's going on with me. He and his boss are going to sit down together and re-figure Brandon's schedule to see when the earliest time is that he can get his days off and vacation time started. We are going for the 17th. Rosie is full-term now, so she can be born safely at any time. The sooner we get induced, the less likely the possibility of going into active labor on my own and missing the treatment. I need 2 doses of antibiotics during labor (which takes about 8 hours to administer, 1 shot every 4 hours) to be considered "treated". If I'm treated, there is very little risk (so I've been told) of Rosie having any complications. So hopefully Bill will let B take me to the hospital on the 17th. He's a nice fella, he will understand and I'm sure he will do his best to help.

I'm sorry about your daughter and her baby, Paden. That's horrible. The Strep worries me. I don't know how I got it, because I'm very clean and I eat healthy and everything. THe doctor said it just happens to some people, they produce more bacteria than others. I guess that's another reason why I am so prone to UTI, bladder and kidney infections. I'm just glad I got the test, so they will be able to help my daughter.

Well, the hospital finally got ahold of me. I'm scheduled to be induced on the 18th and I check in at 4:00am. So, thanks for thinking of us, guys, and please continue to keep my daughter in your thoughts throughout that day. The doctor is fully confident that she will be fine, but it doesn't hurt to have hope.
